The chapped lips are understandable, since many say that vaping dehydrates as the vg or pg "steal" water from wherever they can. This is from the air ideally, but it's claimed that it pulls it from the mouth and lungs as well. I've not seen proof of this, but it's plausible I suppose. I never felt dry after starting.

Canker sores can possibly mean different things to different people. When I started vaping, I was drawing too hard and was constantly getting hot liquid spitting onto my tongue, etc. This caused irritation for sure, and the tip of my tongue was constantly slightly scalded, like taking a sip of too-hot coffee. Just a suggestion, this may have no relation to what you're experiencing.

I'm using mostly Jizmoglobin from Mt Baker and Cherry / Vanilla from Ginger's. I think I'm acid free. I have tried a few new flavors lately but nothing citrus. I'll be honest, if this is being caused by vaping, I might need to quit. I am using 50/50 mix...could that be the problem?

I realize that you guys aren't doctors but I just thought I'd try to tap the vast knowledge that is available here!

^^^You'll need to be a bit fanatical in keeping your drip tip, lips, mouth, or anywhere you have these sores clean while they are most active. This is the time they are most likely to spread. I had canker sores for a while at the beginning of my vaping too but it all worked out as I switched to a 50/50 mix. You may need more VG concentration though. Let us know how things work out as this could be most helpful if another person starts having the same problem. One thing is for sure, a lot of things happen when you stop smoking those sticks and go completely to vaping. You body detoxifies and for some that may take a while. Good luck to you and I hope you find relief soon.

I don't know what is causing them, but I do know how to treat them. Rinse with warm salt water 4 times a day if you can, it kills the bacteria and relieves the pain. Use about 1/2 teaspoon of salt in warm water and swish, holding the water in your mouth as long as you can. I'm not a doctor, but this treatment works for me, I've had cancer sores off and on from too many tomatoes or lime juice in my water. The salt water should clear them up in a day or 2.

I do haVE ONE OTHER PROBLEM THAT MIGHT RELATE to what I mentioned before. I can't really taste the different flavors of my juice any more. I've changed the coils, so that isn't it. I find myself smelling and trying to guess which flavor is which. This is new too, since until this week the flavors were VERY distinct.

What you might have there is what we call "vapers tongue". It happened to me about 4-5 months in, couldn't taste anything. It went away in about a week.

    vapers tongue - Google Search

As far as all else, drink more water to hydrate and move the rest of the toxins from tobacco out. It can take this long.

Lately I have had really painful soars in my mouth and my lips are constantly chapped. I'm wondering if vaping would cause this or is it just a coincidence? This soar in my mouth is REALLY painful!! Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Did you quit smoking recently? Cause I read somewhere that when you quit smoking it can actually cause canker sores. I am very prone to canker sores already and I got them quite frequently when I quit smoking and started Vaping. Just make sure you drink plenty of water and try to avoid citrusy flavors.
    Best of luck.
