Cannot post links?

I just spent 30 minutes typing up a post only to get an error message and my work deleted..., I don't remember posting any links... Is there a reason why I can't post links?

You need to have 5 or maybe 15 posts to put up a link. Get one more post, wait for the computer to update at 25 after the hour and try again. Where you trying to post in this section? You need 5 to post in the other forums.

SPAM control. Anyone new on the site and below five posts cannot post links to external sites.

Once you hit 5 posts (and the server refreshes at 0:25 after the hour) you'll be able to post links. It's part of the same anti-spam measures as the 5-post requirement to be able to post outside of the New Members forum

Ah okay, much appreciated everyone, guess this is my 5th post, guess I'll mosy on over to the apv section here in about 30 minutes.

and don't forget - there are occasional hiccups on ecf so it's always a good idea to use 'copy and paste' before hitting the reply button especially when your post required lots of typing
sometimes auto restore will save you but it's best not to count on it
