Problem making my first post

Hello everyone,

I am having a problem making my first post. I typed out a long message and it won't accept it keeps giving me the error message that I am not allowed to post links, but i haven't included any links in my message? Can anyone help me with this?

Did you read the forum rules?

You have to make 5 posts in the New Member forum, where you posted this, before you can post to other forums.

Is this happening when trying to make this long post in the New Members forum? Are you trying to type a web address in the post? Any website address will be recognized as a link.

Welcome Ryan! As you move about the site check the sticky's when moving to a new forum. There is often lots of valuable information about the forum that can help as you learn your way around the ECF site.

Yeah I read the rules... I was attempting to post in the new members section as the rules said. My problem was I typed out a lengthy message with no urls in the message and upon trying to post it kept giving me the error message that I'm not allowed to post links.. I will try again after I reach 5 posts

Maybe some of the technically inclined people can help.

There was something in your post that the software was keying on. Anything remotely like a URL will get flagged as a link and prevent you from posting.
