I'm still using the Joyetech LR cylinder atomisers with the leaky old wadded cartridges because they are powerful (loads of vapour and big hit), reliable and long lasting (around 3 months on average), despite leaking being a major hassle.

I would love to switch over to the clearomiser tank concept, but every one I've tried, the little baby atomisers, or coils as they're called, last only a couple days and then become too weak to use anymore.

My latest attempt was the Kangertech T'3D with dual coil. The original coil lasted 3 days and the replacement coil that came with it, lasted 1 day, making them totally not cost-effective.

I am a chain vaper which I guess the baby coils are not intended for, but is there a nice clean tank system suitable for chain vapers?

My Theory is if you are Happy, and Like what you are Using, then you are Good to Go.

I have Tried Everything from a RN4081 with a Cart full of Blue Foam. To RBA's with Different Coil/Wick Configurations. And Everything in between.

I still Like XL CE2 Rev"4" the Best. Never have found a Hit like the "True" Top Coil Hit a CE2 gives.

So Don't Feel Bad if you feel Stuck in the Past.

There is no such thing as advancing or regressing. You're vaping, it's not a competition.
If you find Joyetechs or cartos or anything else is what's doing it for you then congratulations you've already won.

If you're looking for a clean tank system you can give the Kayfuns a try, they are re-buildable but are pretty easy to use. If you have any questions about how to rebuild those there are hundreds of users on this forum with expierence that can help, myself included.

I started with an atty/cartridge setup and if it wasn't for that working so well I wouldn't have stopped smoking. Which I did. Never feel the need to apologize for something that works. I still keep that gear around.

Ok, wanna try something new? Hmmm...

Look into getting a Reo bottom feeder. It ain't cheap, but if you chain vape it will eliminate the hassle of cartridge filling. Stock 510 or 306 attys or cartos are a great thing to use on a Reo. Better, actually. You just give a squeeze and it fills your atty. Excess liquid is contained by the Reo so no leaking. Come visit us here on ECF. => Reos Mods

If a Reo is too much for you - either you don't like the size or the price - but don't like what you have experienced with clearos so far - maybe a carto tank instead. Read Bad's blog info about carto tanks for all you need to know. =>

The old big attie and cart system is great, gives a big vape, but I get so tired of the cart hassles, leaking, not feeding properly etc, makes vaping a constant fiddle. My shirt pocket often looks like I'm lactating and I always have to have tissues in my pockets and all around the house and at restaurants, my napkins are always used to clean my ecig and not my hands. ;)

The little tank coils are great..... for the first few hours, then they start to die off, can't handle my chain vaping, but I love how clean the tank systems are. :(

If you are using something that is using protank, aspire or nautilus coils, you can rebuild those coils yourself and get a better vape and longer life. Plus it will really cut down on the cost. There are lots of threads on how to rebuild them on here. I do not use them so I can not help with that.

I use a Kayfun and Russian 91%. I am an old lady and I build all my coils. With practice it is real easy. I learned from people here and watching youtube videos.

Good luck. You will find something that works for you. All this is trial and error.

What do you mean by big vape?

I'm a heavy chain vaper and I've had little issues with the kanger protanks other than drawing too hard issues. Learning how to clean and rewick them is less hassle than your attie/cart system IMO so it might be worth your time to try one.

THat being said, I no longer use my kangers since stepping up to kayfuns. When built right (juice depending) I've gone a month or more on the same coil/wick set up and they are really cheap to rebuild. You do need a good mod like a evic, provari (on order for me finally :) ) MVP2 or other similar high cap mod to get good use of them. I've run my kayfuns off an ego twist as a back up when I forget to charge my evic but it doesn't perform as well.

You do not want to go from a carto to rebuildables. Consider going to either a Glass evod dual coil or after we see some reviews the Nautilus mine with the Bottom feed vertical coil. This is a single coil system a lot like the cartos. But i'd wait and see on it. If you go dual coils you may want to consider going to a 18650 battery mod like the Vamo or if you can afford it the zmax. I'm a semi old timer done the CE's, carto's, vivi's and protanks. Never had an evod leak or if you want a bigger tank the aerotank. Dual coils and a more powerful mod will give you a better choice of vaping. Hope this helps. Don't give up. Do what you have to to keep off the nasties.

I'm a non-smoker now, have been for going on 5 years thanks to ecigs, so will not smoke again, ever. In fact I can't, I had to quit due to the onset of emphysema. Just wish I could marry the convenience of a tank to the power and reliability of a BIG atomiser. Joyetech did bring out a tank system with a modified LR cylinder atomiser, but the feed was pathetic, didn't work, juice couldn't get through fast enough.

Why not just get a drip tip and have at it?

This is still my all time favorite setup.
    P1000581.jpg

    shorty extension
    510 atomizer
    drip shield
    drip tip

The problem these days is that no one wants to be bothered with stocking my favorite atomizer anymore.
So I switched to a RDA that I can set up to vape the same. (A7 nini)
510 atty with drip shield - left, A7 mini - right
