So I started vaping this past Friday - I had two packs of analogs left when I got my blister pack from My Freedom Smokes. I normally smoke about a pack and a half a day - I didn't even fill my clearomizer until around 4pm Friday, I had smoked about half a pack of analogs before even trying it out. It is now Sunday night and I have smoked a little over a half a pack of cigarettes since 4pm Friday! I'm AMAZED! The only reason I have smoked most of the analogs is because I'm trying to make myself smoke what I have left - I've even put a few out half way through in favor of my English Toffee juice!

When I posted my introduction here I mentioned not putting any pressure on myself - I had no expectations of quitting analogs, just a hope that vaping might cut down on my smoking. I'm now happy to say that I don't expect to be buying another pack of smokes! I will say that this morning, as well as yesterday morning, I lit up an analog out of habit and I think that first cig of the morning will be the hardest one to give up. I guess I'll try to order a few tobacco flavors to have on-hand for that first vape of the morning but I'm not really too worried about it. If I didn't have any cigarettes on-hand, I'm sure I would have went for the eGo instead.

If there are any browsers reading this thread who are skeptical about PV's helping them kick the habit - know that I am a 17 year (ex?) smoker who LOVES (loved?) cigarettes. I would highly recommend the eGo 650mAh w/CE3 Clearomizer Blister Pack Starter Kit from myfreedomsmokes.com, it's 14.95 and is ready to go right out of the package. Order some juice as it doesn't come with any and don't put any pressure on yourself - just try it out for a few days - you may be as surprised as I am. Wow!

Good for you.. Don't be afraid to let thoose ciggs sit. I still have a full pack in the drawer myself. At first they were my securely blanet but don't need that anymore.

Get yourself a backup's now because it something happens to that clero or battery ect you will smoke.

Good luck

Very cool - good luck! I started vaping 2 months ago after smoking for almost 30 years, and I still have a carton of analogs here I'm actually trying to use up, LOL. I do know I will never buy any more stinkies. But when walking the dog I light one of the analogs up. Yes it tastes terrible, and I think it's just a reminder as to how far I've come. I too put no pressure on myself, I just don't want to smoke anymore. Vaping is much more satisfying, much tastier, and more accepted. I like Expresso flavor in the morning in higher than night time nic strength, it works. Again, good luck.

That is good. I am only 1 month free of analogs, and all I can tell you is it was much easier than I imagined. You are right though, I still have a slight discomfort in the morning while drinking my coffee. Without a cigarette, it feels... Different, but not horrible. I know that once I have that "Eureka!" Moment; once I find 'my' vendor/ejuice, it will become much easier. That is the truly difficult part, finding your preferred flavor... Everybody is different. Keep at it though, and try new things, you never know what will work for you until you find it. I know for me, personally, I feel SO much better without cigarettes.. Life has undoubtedly improved.

Congrats to you! I quit the exact same way! Had 2 packs left when I started & that would usually last less than 2 days! It took me 5 days to finish it & I never bought another! The hardest cig for me was that morning coffee cig. I bought a bottles of 24mg that helped with that & it worked so I highly recommend getting a bottle one step up from what you have now. Also go ahead & order battery & a couple more clearos! First rule of vaping...always have a backup...then back up your backup! #2 water water water! Make sure you stay hydrated!! You'll well on your way!!

I'd recommend getting a second battery and some spare parts. A few bucks now may save you going back to regular cigs due to technicalcal difficulties lol.

I ordered another blister pack, five more clearomizers and about six bottles of e-liquid from Parkes Vapors when I got home from work Friday evening. ;) I'm sure when I get paid next week I'll probably look into jumping up to a better kit or maybe getting a mod. Good looking out though!

Espresso flavor at a higher nic strength sounds like a good idea! I don't think I would have thought of trying different nic levels for different times of the day, but it makes sense!

Thanks to all of you for the words of encouragement and tips! I think I'm going to like this place!
