Apparently I have a unique set of taste buds because I almost hate everything recommended here. A brief recap of what I've sampled.........

1. Ikenvape RY4 Loved this stuff. A mild tobacco flavor with just the right touch of vanilla and caramel. The honey moon was great but it couldn't last. The flavor faded just a week later and left me with 30ML of stuff I could barely taste.

2. Vaperite RY4 When I ordered this stuff I also ordered a sample of Honey tobacco, Honey Horn Virginia tobacco and Natural Perique Tobacco. I've yet to taste tobacco in any of them. All I detect is some "honey" flavor extract which dominates each flavor to different degrees. They all taste so alike I doubt I could tell the difference blind folded.

3. BWB Backo This to me does not taste like any tobacco I've ever known. It is VERY fragrant but reminds me more of inhaling a camp fire.

4. BWB Vanilla Bean It's definitely vanilla. Just not sure I ever wanted to smoke vanilla extract.

5. BWB Espresso Now I know why cigarettes aren't packed with coffee beans!

Now I'm sure many of you are fans of these flavors and that's fine. These suppliers are highly rated here and I mean them no slight. It's just not for me I guess. I tried to be adventurous and explore other flavors that aren't pure tobacco. I'm just curious if there are many like me who've had trouble handling all these strange flavors and what did you finally settle on? I think I'm only going to order straight tobacco flavors from now on. A little sweetness sounded fine but I don't want it to overwhelm every other flavor in the spectrum.

I must have gone through about $200 worth of juice just trying to find that elusive "all day vape." I didn't find it until I started DIY and then fell madly, deeply in love with Chocolate Eclair, Chocolate Toffee Coffee and Bananas Foster.

Well I'm a bit too intimidated by DIY atm. Maybe someday.

taste buds are all different. I personally love Vaperite VR4, RY4, and organic honey tobacco. If you're looking for an authentic tobacco, I'd try the vapenstein blends, from want2vape. As an ex premium cigar and pipe smoker, want2vape's blondie and mangaua are the two most authentic cigar juices out there. London is english pipe. It's not similar to the real thing, it is the real thing

I've tried dozens of flavors like so many others.

I have found 4 must haves and they are cheap to try.

LO black walnut flavoring + unflavored (super rich pipe tobbaco similar to PA RY4)

DIY Black Pepper extract + FW orange dream bar + zero unflavored ( atty friendly rich complex flavor w/ nice TH).

LO Bavarian Creme + DIY Cinnamon (optional) + unflavored (super rich buttery cinnamon toast)

FW menthol in PG + Unflavored ( atty friendly; any strength menthol you like)

Give Vermillion River and/or Halo a shot I also hear great things about KBV... don't give up I found my goto vendor when I was least expecting it and I hadn't heard much bout them until AFTER I was hooked.

I'll check them out thanks. It's just a bit aggravating. Buying countless liquids from many different suppliers trying to find something that agrees with me but I'm sure everyone goes through it.

I hear ya, Clinton. After three weeks, I'm sitting on 45 flavors, with another 20 in the mail. With my experience, I'm not finding anything that tastes like tobacco. So, I'm branching off into flavors. Sometimes, I have to ask myself why I'm "smoking" Monster energy drink, and similar flavors. Just trying things out, I guess. The closest thing to an all-day-vape is RY4 from Vaporescense and Honeyville Vapor. Both are on the sweet side, and I wouldn't recommend them in this thread, as neither tastes like tobacco. My taste buds haven't gone stale on the RY4, but that's probably because I change flavors four times a day (gotta sample those 45 flavors!).

Good luck on your search. Also, come back to those flavors you have after a couple of weeks. A little steeping or time away from the flavor might pop them up a notch or two.

I tried several tobacco flavors and all of them taste to me like I put a cig in my mouth and chewed it up. Ick. I've tried sweet, fruity, bakery, etc...

After all that, the one liquid I vape the most is Turtle from V4L. It takes like smoky peanuts to me (emphasis on the smoke taste which is what I was missing from the tobacco flavors) with hardly any sweetness.

I have a DIY Apple Pie from another ECFer, and it is also at the top of my list.

Keep trying!

Depending on how long and how much you smoked you may find your tastes vary hugely over the first handful of months. Also you can expect some blech days where nothing has much taste -- you just vape through them, sometimes a strong menthol still works, or use up some "meh" liquid (stuff you don't like that much, but since nothing has much taste you're using it to get the nic and make some vapor).

My all day vape is vanilla tobacco DIY, been using it five months. Before that I brewed multiple tobaccos and some sweet stuff. Before that I tried a bunch of vendor liquid, including backwoods brew, freedomsmokeusa, vapor4life, etc. My tastes ran from really firm tobacco (v4l Kamel or Dunhall) to quite sweet (my own vananaberry).

ThreePutt,
I've begun to think there is no way around this. And the truth is, you'll find something you like, and it will take like crap one day. I am sneaking up on 4 months, personally, and just now feel like my tastebuds may be leveling out a bit.

Don't be afraid to try those samples some vendors toss in. 3 of my favorite flavors right now started off as "why the heck did they throw in this fruit/dessert sample with my gallon-sized order of all tobacco juices??!!" LOL Two of those are actually Flavor Art concoctions, which I thought I could never really "love". Some of the most universally praised juices here on ECF taste like ... to these tastebuds.

People just have to find their zone and spend some $$. It helps to remind myself that I used to spend at least $60 per week on cigs, so that $40 juice order doesn't seem so expensive after a point.

I wish I'd paid more attention to the trade and pay-it-forward threads here (as I sit on a pile of juice that I need to unload, and am too lazy to list or think of putting in the mail.....ha!)

Hang tight, guys, and be willing to try things that you don't think you'll dig so much. You'll find a zone.

Just got my six pack sampler from Vermillion River in the mail. I could tell before I even got the bottles out of the bubble wrap that this stuff was going to be good. Apparently the bottles leak a little and it smells so good it makes you want to drink it lol.

I've only tried the Kentucky Premium so far but I will be placing an order for some more of this unless I find something I like even better. Thanks for the recommendation.

I just got my sample pack from VR, got some of the tobaccos and Fruit Stripe Illusions. I am really liking the KY Applewood, still a little mild on taste, but I just got them so they may get even better in a few days. And yes I noticed some leaking in my package as well, does smell mighty tasty lol

Yeah that's pretty much what I find. The KY Applewood and Maplewood are a bit milder than the KY Premium in both flavor and TH but all three are good. I also got a sample of the Caramelized Cappuccino but I find I'm not crazy about coffee flavors. Gonna nicotine overdose vaping on this stuff lol.
