There was some discussion SOMEWHERE in this massive forum about the Ultrafire CR2 batteries from dealextreme, someone had tested them and discovered by their discharge rate that they are indeed LiFePO4 batteries but just aren't labelled as such. I've been using those for almost a year, I've bought 8 sets, 2 chargers, with 0 problems. The giveaway for LiFePO4 batts is that they are rated at 3 or 3.2 volts. Regular (regarded as unsafe) LiIons are always 3.7 volts. The chemistry of the LiFePO4 cells is what makes them run at a lower voltage, and makes for safer use. I've tested mine as well during their discharge cycle, and lo and behold, after the initial reading of 3.6 volts off the charger, 45-60 minutes later they read 3.2, EVERY time. I've even shorted them out (by accident) and nothing happened other than damage to the spring inside my unit.
