Ladies,

Perhaps you could give me some opinions on liquid for my 510. I started with Johnson Creek reduced-PG vanilla chocolate truffle, and menthol. They're OK, but none of them really had all that much flavor. The chocolate is pretty good with red wine, though!

Then I bought a sampler pack from eastmall with banana, orange, peanut butter, another chocolate, double mint, and caramel. I like the double mint - I can really taste it. And I LOVE the caramel! The rest I can barely taste. But I'm almost out of caramel, so I decided to try e liquid planet, since I'd heard good things about them. Plus, I wanted to try VG juice, when they add more flavors, so I ordered a sampler pack from them to see if I liked their flavors.

So far, not too impressed. I can barely taste any of them. I got yet another chocolate, another vanilla, caramel, peach, and cream. I can sort of taste the cream. I haven't tried the peach yet. The rest? Yuk! The caramel tastes like (bad) fruit to me, and the others all kind of have the same blandly sweet undertone with barely any flavor.

I admit that I have a cold right now, but I can taste my other (old) flavors pretty well, so I'm perplexed. Anybody out there have a similar experience with this company? I'm going to give it a week or so and try again when my cold clears up. If it's just me, well, I guess I have even more liquid to trade in the swap section. Meanwhile, looks like it's time for another eastmall order!

Hey rocket, I've had a similiar issue. A few juices have tasted 'good' but nothing really blew my socks off. Plus I go light or zero on the nic which never helps with flavor.

I want to DIY but I don't think it's for me. I just want cash and carry, no assembly required. :p So I've found 2 sources of juice that really have helped with my flavor issue:

ecigsmokestore.com (can't take paypal and looking for an alternative atm)

Dawn can make 2x flavored juice. They can be pretty strong, but get a 2x flavor and then add drops to your light-tasting juice to perk them up. I top off a cart by adding a drop of 2x flavor then a drop or two of lighter flavor. You could always do some mixing. But it really helps me with the flavor!

High Voltage Liquid

Drew at NHaler has some flavorful juice! I've only tried the high voltage so I don't know if his regular juices are just as flavorful. Next to the 2x flavor, these have the most flavor of any juices I've tried. I've even loved flavors I didn't know I'd like, such as Blueberry Crumble and Orange Creamcicle.

BTW, I've ordered from Johnson's Creek, Heavens-Gifts, Vapor Country, Litecig, E Liquid Planet, Wet Your Stick, Below Zero Liquids (has Janty liquids too), Nuvape, My Vapor Store, Vermont Vapor, Vapor Options, E-Smokey Treats, Addictionejuice and maybe one or two others. So I've tried a lot of juice, mainly coffee, mocha, RY4... along those lines.

And most folks have sticker shock when they see that Drew's shipping is $10, but I just ordered a bunch of samples, used a 10% off coupon and he threw in another sample free. So it worked out fine in my book. I was skeptical but well worth it for some flavor!

I don't know for sure, But I have heard 510's are not very good for the milder flavors. The 901 doesn't run as hot and is very good with flavor..it just doesn't pack as big a punch. I vape pear and taste it just fine in a 901..that's about as mild as you get! I guess it's all a trade off. The 2x flavor thing might be the ticket..or Drews high power. That's if you really don't want to add some Lorann's to the fruit flavors. I am not crazy about any of theirs but the fruits. The coffee isn't bad..so I gueess I just lied to you..lol
With a cold..don't waste your liquids and vape the doublemint! That's some good stuff, just like spearmint gum! Lite cig carries it too..yummy, his artic mint is also very good and strong!

Even if you buy commercial e-liquids you can bump up the flavor of them using flavor drops or flavoring like Loranns. I do that all of the time, none of the chocolate e-liquids seem strong enough for me so I have different chocolate drops that I add to the commercial stuff. Of course you can mix and match that way too. I love adding orange flavor to mint liquid.

Needless to say, having only done this about a week, we're still experimenting and learning about the flavors. Hubby has been doing the ordering and we have another shipment coming in, hopefully today. It's almost like he's the "mad scientist" experimenting with them. He's so enthused about this it's really great. I think the ones we've gotten from Dawn and Drew are the ones we're leaning toward. And yes, we also have the 510.
I kind of like the Ginseng Mint Lung Juice myself, however the orange lung juice goes well with the "Mary's Special" (vodka, orange juice, cranberry juice and gingerale) that I enjoy in the afternoons.

Oh, this is great! I didn't know you could add Lorann's to stock juice! That might just do the trick - great suggestions!

I also have a 901, and I can't tell the difference in flavors between the two. I do notice the better vapor on the 510, so it's my favorite.

I don't have time (or patience) right now, but I hope to try DIY liquids someday, so if I get Lorann's, that's a good investment for later.

I've read on this forum that some people prefer Capella's flavors....any opinions?

Thanks again for your wonderful help!

I haven't tried capella's yet, but I am dying to..but I did try Bickfords..it's ok but nothing to get all excited over. The pear was nice..but very weak flavor, the butterscotch is good though.
The Plum was shampoo! I cannot discribe how awful it was in any other way..yuck!
I have been adding lorann's fruit flavor to my stock juice for a while..It sure punches up the flavor! My stock juice lasts twice as long. I don't care if I am lowering the nic..I am doing my best to get it to zero anyway.

I just add a drop or two, taste and then decide if you need more. You can always add another drop..but if you over do, you are going to need some P.G., V.G. or glycerin to thin it out.
If you are doing this to make stronger stock..that's fine. But if you are adding to make your stock last longer, you need to also add the P.G/V.G. or glycerin. Buy your stock at a higher nic value to compensate for the cutting. I buy 11mg and cut it a lot, I probably end up with 6mg..which is fine by me.
I also add a couple drops of glycerin for extra vapor.
You may want to wait until you are over your cold first.
Remember that Lorann's is concentrated..big time!

The Loranns is very strong and if you put it directly on your cart it tastes horrible (to me anyway). I can put the Bickfords directly on my cart and its a good taste but kind of a thin liquid. I have been getting Vermont Vapors because it a nice thick liquid and when I add drops to it I still get a great vapor. I do not like the Loranns cherry, tastes like a old cherry cough drop. I have tried the cherrys from Bickford, Wild cherry, Sweet cherry and the maraschino. The maraschino is the only one I like but its still not the good cherry I am looking for. I did find some Wiltons (at Wally World) that was on discount left from the holidays. It was a 4 pack with cherry, cinn, cream de ment and a peppermint. I don't do any mints but the cherry was really good. But I think it was a oil because it turned milky when added to anything so I figure it wasn't good for the addy. Sooo, I am still looking for a good cherry flavor.
