Help! I'm having a horrible time trying to find the right set-up. What I want is a strong hit. I miss the burn and that deep inhale feeling that I used to get with cigs.

I order juice with extra flavor and that seems to help but I can't get the right set-up. I currently use variable voltage eGo 1200mh set at 4.8v. I've been using long wick clearomizers with 1.8 ohms as it seems to have the warmest/harsher hit. I've tried tanks and bottom wicks but the tanks constantly flood my battery and the bottom wicks seem to 'gurgle'.

Any advice you can give me will be greatly appreciated!

That's what i want. I get it too. With :

1) Any variable voltage device

2) Protank II. With most 100% vg e liquid solutions.

3) 36mg

A) Don't over fill (to the top) the Protank.

B) Turn up the voltage if the 100% e liquid solution is too thin and starts to gurgle when the tank is still loaded with liquid. If it continues to gurgle stem the flow with a little extra cotton wool on top of the wick.

C) When there is only 3 or 4 millimetres of liquid left in the tank and it starts to gurgle, disconnect it from the battery, take off the drip tip, cover the open end with tissue and shake it whilst holding it upsidedown. Reassemble and vape until it happens again and repeat the shaking process. After that you should be able to finish the tank with no more gurgling.

I go through this process with every tank full. It's how my Protank works !.

I used to smoke anything and everything. I need the satisfaction i used to get from smoking. I get that everyday. I hit it really hard when i feel the need.:)

4.8 volts with a 1.8 ohm coil seems rather high. You're warming the air but muting a lot of flavor and shortening the life of your coil heads..

Use higher PG juice for more throat hit and up the nicotine levels if you can handle the buzz.
Try different devices, since they all perform differently.

From my short past-life with clearomizers, I found the Iclear 16 and Aspire BDC to give very nice warm hits.

You guys are my HERO'S!! Thank you!! :D

I'm using 70pg/30vg 24mg liquid. I'll try and find a higher pg and up my nic to 36mg and see if that does the trick. You're right KJRxxx, I've been ordering my juice with 5 extra shots of flavor- that must be why I'm not getting enough flavor. I'm also going through heads way too fast.

evan le'garde- GREAT ADVICE! I can't seem to use a Protank- it constantly floods my battery. What am I doing wrong?

itskohler- why do you prefer cartomizers?

Protank heads are known to flood, especially with high PG juice.

I also prefer cartomizers over clearomizers, specifically Boge slotted cartos. Great flavor and warmth, and have a loose draw so I can even do lung hits if I like.

I find the Smoktech cartos to be lacking flavor.
