#500 mesh rolled just big enough to slip into the hole. Slash cut in the bottom. Oxidized properly and everything.
26GA A1 Kanthal 3 wraps and a drilled out top cap.
juice of choice: Bobas Bounty by Ave juice. this stuff is so thick that it wont drip out of the I atty with no wick in it tipped upside down!
PV: VHO Titan
Atty: I-atty Z-atty lone from fasttech
This juice is very finnicky for bottom feeder atty's I've successfully built my RSST tons of times and have had some wicking problems but usually work through it.

I've tried Solid Core, Straw style wick, Super tight Wick, looser wicks, fat wicks, skinny wicks and I cant get it to wick even when i tip the atty.

26Ga 3 wraps at .5 ohms is my preference and I have a top cap drilled out to compensate.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions I love the way my PV looks with this I atty and love bobas bounty. I don't want to have to give up either of them!

Thanks for the help!

Yes that is why I used #500 because people were saying it is best. I do have #400 and can try using that.

I had the fill screw in and then took it out. It helped a bit but definitely wasnt perfect. I experienced leaking because I do like to travel with my bottomfeeders. I always keep my Rsst plug in and have had little issues.

E_DeCastro: Do you happen to have a picture of your set up?

no because i broke the tank. I'll be getting a new one in a few weeks when they ship it. it was a horizontal micro coil with a piece of cotton going from the wick hole through the coil and back into the fill hole. didn't leak one drop.

Any reason why you went horizontal? Reason why I ask is because I plan to micro a genny with cotton but thought about a vertical coil. Never thought of a horizontal for some reason. Good?

I was recently having wicking issues with my rsst. The first time I made a wick and coiled it everything was great even though I was running flat ribbon and low ohms (beginners luck I guess). Every time after was a nightmare. I could not get the wick to supply enough juice so I was getting a burnt / metallic taste.

So I went to 28g round wire and around 1.1 ohm and all was good except the taste was a bit muted and under heavy cape sessions I would start to get a hint of metal.

Today I tried something a bit different and holy cow its tasting good and wicking great.

28g, 4 wrap, #500 mesh rolled tight around 2mm silica with the silica going into the fill hole also. Just finished her and so tomorrow I'll test more but based on taste and how the vapor production is now it seems promising.

(the mesh is slightly bent because it was too long since silica comes out the bottom and it was hitting the cap but it works)

Also, you can't really tell but the silica comes out from under the mesh about half an inch into the tank and runs up the mesh back into the tank through the fill hole
