I am totally with you all on this thread. It seems to be a constant with me. I suppose I'm afraid of feeling the panic I've felt with patches and gum. The pv just satisfies those cravings that NEVER go away even after being off of analogs for a year or more (in my personal experience).
My goal is to be more like strayling and eventually find independence, but for now this works beyond anything I've tried. Therefore I tend to keep it close to me for re-assurance that it's helping... far beyond anything I've ever tried.
Now I wouldn't want to claim it as a smoking cessation device. That still is up to me and what I do with the nicotine levels. Still, it's not cigarettes. Provided I don't vape till it makes me feel sick I am sure I'm doing my body a favor. I can laugh a good laugh without it turning into a cough half a lung up session. My regained sense of smell is overwhelming at times.
@drunkenmonk, I really don't want to hijack your thread but is that your pug? We've got two and they are crazy and fun and silly and lovingly sweet. I'd love to know your story if you have a pug .... baby in your family!
Anyway, can't... stop... the... vaping. I am currently trying to lower my nicotine content to enjoy the experience further. Me on analogs was suck it all in before its gone. Me on vaping is get the same nicotine but slow down and enjoy the relaxation. I'm confident that I'm not taking in more nicotine based on how my body feels. Just taking it slowly and appreciating the relaxation is worth a lot on its own.
I have GAD or "general anxiety disorder" (therapy and meds, yeah) so anything that can help keep me calm is appreciated. However I suspect that many of us whether having this infliction or not can benefit from anything that helps to relax. Society demands a lot. Whatever is needed or enjoyed
