I went to one of the vape shops in my area to get some e-juice. While I was there I told the guy helping me that someday I might want to get a rda. He started telling me about the different mods to get. I told him I had a 30w mod, and he said that wouldn't be enough. Said I'd need at least 50w.

Is that true, or was he just trying to sell me a new mod? Thought I might like to get a Magma someday. Hear they have great taste.

I vape my Magma at 28W built with 27gauge. For my typical 26gauge builds in other attys i prefer 30-33W. The only occasions where i go higher than that, if it is very cold and i am vaping outside, then i might bump it up to 35W to compensate.

The Magma doesn't have a ton of airflow, so i'd say you would be fine with your current mod. I get the feeling that some vendors are just pushing sales of the super heavy wires so they can sell extra mods with more power, regardless if that person is a new vaper, or has any need or want for it.

Thanks again everyone. Great information! I'm taking a lot of notes from here. Going to be checking out a lot of the RDAs you guys are using.

Simply ask here with what you're looking for. A flavor atty with good airflow? Derringer. A flavor atty with restricted draw? Magma or veritas. A very airy draw? Dark horse or Mutation x (These don't have much flavor and better at higher wattages). I have the EHPro Derringer clone and have to say the flavor is just amazing. Put's the magma to shame!

I can vape at 90 watts, or at 30watts, I rarely go under 40 watts though. My mutation x v2 has a single parallel .45 ohms vaping at 38 watts, mephisto has a .48 26ga dual coil, vaping at 40 watts, and my derringer has a .5 dual 26ga vaping at 4.2 to 3.8 volts.
if you build a higher ohm coik, you can vape at 10 watts, or build a .1 ohm coil and vape at 100 watts. All aboUT personal perference
