One of the things I've learned in my four years here is that everyone is different.

There are some people who can cut the nicotine with ease.
There are some who have trouble cutting it at all.

And there is everyone in between.

There has been research that shows why a certain percentage of nicotine long-time nicotine users may be unable to reduce.
Unfortunately, I am unable to find references to that research, and I'll have to ask Vocalek for links.

I'll try to be back later with those links...

What juice delivery system do you use? For me, dripping helped a great deal with cutting down nicotine levels. Like many people, I started with cartos and clearos. As I lowered my nic level, cartos became unsatisfying. These days, I vape mostly 6mg and 0mg e-liquids. In a dual-coil RDA, 0mg juices can be very enjoyable.

My problem is I, finally, want to lower my nic from 36mg. All of the vendors I use go right down to 24mg with no in between. I like buying the 50mg at MBV because of the better price. Otherwise I would get a 36mg and a 24mg and mix them. Which would give me 30mg.
Easiest thing for your situation would probably be to buy the 24mg and some nic base so you could spike it to the level you want. Alternatively, you could dilute the 36 with pg/vg but you'll lose more of the flavor that way.
