Can't taste the flavor anymore.

Been vaping about 3 mos and now I am noticing I can't taste the flavors anymore unless I switch and then after about 5 minutes the flavor goes away so I switch between 3 flavors all day but as the day wears on I can't really taste any of them. I stop vaping my main liquid for 24 hours then the next morning it tasted so good for about 15 minutes then it was gone. Could it be that I'm using too much flavoring when I make them and I'm overpowering my taste buds? I use tobacco blends at 10% but this is starting to bother me.

There are lots of threads in these forums about vaper's tongue. This might be what you're going through. Try drinking more water.

In my experience, this is the way vaping is, seemingly no matter what I do. After a while my tastebuds get used to the flavoring and so the liquid doesn't taste as strong. I also switch out flavors often. I probably need to drink more water too. Vaping is dehydrating.

I don't DIY, so I can't speak on the tobacco mixture you're using.

For tobacco flavors 10% sounds high. I don't do tobacco flavors but have read that those who do generally use about 3-5%, plus it takes quite a bit of aging.

As for the taste issue, I faced this during the first few weeks. I found that drinking more water and changing flavors helped. Hope you find an answer.

Yea, the water thing will hopefully help, plus I work outside in the heat all day so that probly dehydrates me even more. I read somewhere if you take a small swig of lemon juice that it would help to reset your taste but that didn't help. I will try your suggestion and drop to 5% on my next batch, my aspire nautilus is coming tommorrow so hopefully I can get more flavor from that as well.

I found this to work perfectly. I have a bad vape at a shop that gave me a mouth full of burnt smoke. Everything tasted like crap for about 3 hours. The only thing that cleared it up was a glass of water with lime juice. After 10 minutes and I was fine.
