What confuses me about some of my e-go batteries is that while charging the red light on the charger is on.
When it turns green it means that the battery is fully charged.
Testing the battery at this stage I get readings of about 3.4V, yet the batteries light flashes indicating that it is flat.
Can anyone explain where the problem lies?

I`ve just voltage tested two fully charged Ego battery`s, one a 650mah and one a 900mah (just to be sure) and both read 4.2v fully charged. I suggest your charger is mis-reading or giving the wrong indication. You are right in that Red means charging and Green means fully charged, try another charger first (they are cheaper than the battery :) ) and if the voltage is still below 4.1-4.2v then the battery is buggered :(

I have two chargers. I get a reading of 4.2v from the chargers and 3.4v from the charged batteries.
Most of my batteries work fine after charging, just the odd battery, while also giving a 3.4v reading, has
the light flashing, then off and produces no vapor. It would seem that batteries do pack up even if they appear
fully charged.
