Hi there been doing DIY for a little while but mainly used to TFA flavorings .

I thought i would give Capella's a go just not to sure on where to start with percentages can anyone give me idea as to how they compare with the TFA flavors .

will i need to use less or more or same amounts .

Also do UK and USA have same strengths in flavors, as I have a friend in UK and he uses Capella flavors over there and he mixes by drops per ml etc, where as over here in the USA I have been mixing my TFA flavors by percentages and seem to use a lot more than he does to get my flavors right how i like them, we both steep our juice's for a month or two before use .

so in short can i still mix by percentages, and if so can someone give me a starting point @ what percentage to use for Capella flavors, or do i need to change tactics and do my mixing differently with these .

Thanks in advance

Each TFA and Capella have different mix percentages depending on the flavor. Take Vanilla Custard. I found that CAP uses maybe 1% higher in my custard mixes. Both custards are excellent. I'm sure there are cases the other way around where TFA needs to be higher. When I buy a flavor I vape it as a standalone/single and it generally tells me how strong a flavor it will be in a mix.
can someone give me a starting point @ what percentage to use for Capella flavors
In general, 5% as a single mix is as good a starting point as any.

Thank you to both of you

I was thinking i may have had to change tactics .

It was also the UK ,USA thing that kind of threw me off a bit thinking they may of used different strength concentrates from over here .

Also when I speak to my friend in UK he does seem to use less flavor than I do , but he also uses more sweetener than i do so that could have been the curve ball that threw me .

now i just need to try and create a real nice apple pie and custard juice

I use mostly Capella flavors but also have a few TFA. I find the level of flavoring needed is quite similar. To me, most Capella flavors are good as a stand alone or main flavor in a mix @ 8 - 10%. YMMV... :)

I am not aware of any flavor manufacturer that mixes the same flavor differently for US vs. European distribution. In fact, the only flavor manufacturer that has separate facilities is FlavourArt and I don't believe the formulation is any different regardless of North American or Italian origin.
I would guess that the only difference you are experiencing is a different palette/preference compared to your friend.

I don't think I would consult with anyone in the UK about flavors, the eat some strange stuff over there. :D

Well that is where i am from , and i could say the same about here .

just dont mention biscuits and gravy to a BRIT unless you explain exactly what it is LOL

They would think you are talking about cookies and brown gravy ie oreo's and beef gravy etc .

They also dont put jams on scrambled eggs but then you dont have cheese and onion flavor potato chips.

just a few examples LMAO
