Capella "NY Cheesecake" makes me cough

I'm having a strange reaction to Capella NY Cheesecake Flavor Concentrate. I mixed it at 14% in my standard nic juice and when I vape it I start coughing and the back of my throat gets raw. When I switch to another juice the problem goes away.

I tried mixing it in another recipe with 1 part cheesecake and 3 parts Harvest Berry (capella). I am still having this problem but to a lesser degree.

The flavoring is nice and clear. Is there something unique about the artificial flavor that I might be having a reaction to? I've never had this reaction to any eliquid before. Anyone have this experience before or am I just losing my mind.

I use it all the time and no problem.

It tastes really good particularly mixed with a fruit. I seem to be getting used to it, perhaps it just has something in it that is just different and my body had to acclimatize.

Have you let it steep? Maybe it has a higher content of alcohol in it?

Perhaps not enough, I started in on it after 24 hours steeping, maybe it is just continuing to steep and thus the lower effect on me.
