Str8, your enthusiasm caused some of us long-on-the-fence folks break down and finally get some Capella's. So naturally there must be a new discussion! Thanks for injecting new energy into the DIY area.

I started playing with mine last night, they are indeed awesome so far. I usually need about 20% flavor with TFA, but these seem great to me at only 10% in pure PG. Now to start tweaking and adapting some of my old recipes.

Chocolate Fudge Brownie
Double Chocolate
Raspberry
Hazelnut
French Toast

I really wish they'd bring back the sampler of smaller size bottles, that would help.

Anyone tried the bubblegum? tempted to mix it at 8% and add 4% of sweet strawberry....

Strawberry is very sweet & strong I would start out at 2% and work my way up. I like bubble gum all by itself at 10% with some Tart & Sour.

Wouldn't it be nice to have a ejuice recipe software & calculator that you just put in the ingredients you own. Press a button and get a list of recipes you can make with what you have?

Thanks buddy , nice to know someone likes me and benefited from my opinions :) . You got some great flavors there .There is a richness with Capellas that i just cant get with other flavorings . Iv noticed this with my favorite vendors juices using Capellas as well .

Heres a good bit of Info iv found on Capellas site which i like to go off of on percentages as well as how i like to determine what percentage works good for me .Great info so ill repost .

everyones taste buds are different but just wanted to post this information to help people out and give a general average on percentages . You may be more or less sensitive but Capellas formulates their flavorings to be all equal in concentration . This is one thing i havent seen from other flavoring companies . They have testers which give feedback to formulate a average concentration . Of course this may vary to some but there recommendation is a good place to start in which you can adjust up or down from you liking . Usually down if anything . Capellas recommendation is 15-20% shown below . I have personally found it to be spot on accurate with my testing before iv even read Capellas recommendation so it was a completely unbiased finding .I do my testing with 20 drops of pg then add 1 drop of flavors which equates to 5% increments while vaping after each added drop. IMO this is very important to do before using a new flavor. You not only find the sweet spot but also find how flavors work for future mixing in recipes. YMMV still

Capella Flavor Drops for e-Liquid (DIY) use

e-Liquid ( DIY e-Juice) Standard Mixing Technique
Here is a general approach to use for those starting our with mixing their own e-liquid (e-juice). When using Capella Flavor Drops a good starting point is 15-20% dilution in either PG (Propylene Glycol), VG (Vegetable Glycerin), or a mix of both.
An easy example would be if you created a 10ml e-liquid batch as a test, use 8ml of either PG (Propylene Glycol) or VG (Vegetable Glycerin) and add 2ml of your favorite Capella Flavor Drops flavor. This will give you a 80/20 pct mix. For a larger mix, just multiply out.

Just another little note on the link above it is clearly stated that :

Our Flavors are Food Grade Flavorings , and are DIACETYL FREE.
NOT PERFUME Chemicals or Perfume ingredients.

This is good to know that Capellas doesnt use Perfuming flavorings which is no surprise since i personally have never tasted or smelled a hint of it in any one of there flavorings .

Whew, it took me two long sittings to catch up on this thread. Lots of good info and tips!

One good recipe for Capella's French Vanilla that I've tried (see my clickable sig) and really like is Breaktru's Lemon Zest recipe.

Lemon Zest

12% Vanilla
3% Lemon

I used Capella's French Vanilla and Flavorganics for the Lemon. Flavorganics is available from health food stores (maybe Trader Joe's). It is a steal at $5.95 for 2 fl. ozs (60ml).

Today I am vaping GoodDog's Gingerbread Brulee recipe with all Capella's flavoring. It is really good!

EDIT: I was surprised to see - as big as this thread is and with so much participation - that people haven't been rating it. I gave it a 5-star rating for all the great info.

I love that Oregon mountain in your avatar, Newwell. I lived in So OR for 12 years. I sure do miss it sometimes - especially snowmobiling, dirt bike racing and 4-wheeling. I'll never forget the time I sank my Bronco in a river that looked shallow enough to cross, lol. Good thing I was with a group that winched me out before it sank to the bottom. Sheesh, the things I used to do ....

Thanks, that's Mt. Jefferson. Snowmobiling...yuck. We lived in upstate NY for 20 yrs. Too much snow.
I love your avi too...so pretty. Yeap, our 4x4's have seen their share of rivers too, although they weren't quite deep enough to go under, but definitely stuck :D

Str8, can you elborate a little more on this testing method? Are you just adding a drop, then vaping, then adding a drop; or is there a step(s) in between like steeping, shaking, water bath or such? Plus as your vaping away your base your percentage is going to go up exponentially, right?

did I get the 1000? oh, so close.
