I couldn't find the 5 pack deal on Capella's site either. Then Lyndagayle hooked us up in this thread. I took advantage of it too, and ordered 10. I ordered the same day as k5blazer, and I've not received mine either. Mine were not mis-shipped though, I think they just got backlogged with orders. I feel confident they will be worth the wait!

Wow k5blazer, you really are a sucker! ;) You're going to be having the best time trying out all of those. I haven't tried all of the ones you ordered (yet) but of those I have, I really like all of them except the lemon meringue pie (and that's just because of my wonky taste buds, not anything to do with the flavor). The only two Capella's flavors I can remember not really caring for were the orange creamsicle and the irish cream, and I'm still undecided on the sweet tangerine. It needs more testing.

Let us know how it goes! I bet you're gonna be mailman stalking like crazy. Oh...and I hope you have plenty of storage space. You'll need it!

I got my first order yesterday. I did some test on Van cust, Strawberry, blueberry, and OMG the freakin CDS. I'm not capable of doing a real review cus my Tbuds are real burnt on most flavors. The van cust I mixed @ 10%. For me it was to strong, and I thought I was being conservative at 10%. I am sure I'll like it if I tone it back. It had a exhale taste of the ol wax lips we used to get at the candy store for Halloween. Not bad, I liked that flavor as a kid.
The strawberry I mixed at the same 10%. Love it. Same with the Blueberry. But the CDS, LOVE IT...I just smelled it and new I'd like it. So I just did a mix of CDS @ 8% along with some Blueberry @ 4% with a dash of Van cust @ 2%. I had to try it right away and, Oh yea. I can't hardly wait to see how it'll taste in a couple days. I still have lots to try, and more on the way. I think for a nooB Diy'er the Capellas is the way to go. I have some tfa, and fw to try also, but I can wait to test on these.:vapor:

Just finished a powerpuff session of my single flavour mixes, all @20% to start for a baseline. I have nothing bad to say about any of them beyond saying that some are quite subtle.

Tested: Pomegranate, caramel, marshmallow, watermelon (most flavourful), and peanut butter. Going to lay off the vapes for a bit and try some simple drip mixes later to see how they generally interplay.

So far I am enjoying this whole DIY thing tremendously, no regrets whatsoever.

20% is pretty strong for Caps and you may not get all of the flavor by over flavoring. Just to give an example CFB at 8% was perfect I could taste the chocolate fudge and even the walnuts. 15% is was just dark rich chocolate to me. I always start new flavors around 5% and work my way up. If you are happy with 20% all the power to you but you might be missing some notes in the flavoring. Just a bit of info I found out myself and wanted to share with you.

Thanks, I was figuring 20 was on the high side and was expecting over-flavour, rather than under. I'll try reducing the %'s, have premixed flavourless for thinning on standby. Still just doing sample sizes so no harm no foul, hooray for learnings. I still am not disappointed by caps in the least, no chemical undertones I've gotten from some premixes (one reason I am venturing into DIY)

Caps is great! Very easy to make some good juice. IMO they have some very complex stuff for single flavorings. Knowing what the flavor is like across the board from smaller percentages to larger is a awesome and interesting ride. You will be more confident when it comes to mixing because you understand how your flavors work. Experimenting like that will help you achieve a great profile for yourself in mixing and be more confident.

I think for bakery flavors Capellas is probably the best out there. CDS is my favorite flavor and the stuff you can add to that one alone is endless.

Yep, thinned some down and they're still good (watermelon especially, it was quite potent @20) but I think I "need" that kick on others. I'm also a bit congested after pushing 70 hours of work in 5 days. Already know some new flavours/enhancers (thanks hoosier blog) to mix in when the funds allow. Want a new PV and will be on a spending freeze for a bit so will have to make due with what I have for now.

In other news, I tried some sweetener (TPA) to a mix, and it's anecdotal at best, but it seems to irritate my throat. And yep, only added a couple drops to 5ml as a test. Gonna have to shelve it for now till I know for sure.

Even with some setbacks I'm still hooked on DIY and don't think I'll do premix again. My mixes may not be perfect or sellable, but the taste is only half the fun. Even if I run out of flavour I'll stick to flavourless.

I received a bottle of Sweet Watermelon yesterday and opened it to get a whiff of how good it should smell. Big surprise. In the Capella bottle it smells BAD. VERY strong chemical smell ( akin to the smell of a magic marker when using one) with no hint of watermelon at all. Is this how it should be or did I receive a bad bottle. Opinions please. Thanks.

Thanks for the steeping tip but I'm talking about a bottle of flavor concentrate. Most of the time when DIYing you try to get the same general aroma of your DIY ejuice to approximate the taste and aroma of the concentrate. I surely don't want to vape a DIY ejuice that smells like a Magic Marker.

I didn't care for Cap's watermelon. Although the smell wasn't repulsive, it didn't smell like watermelon at all. I mixed a small bottle just to see if there was any hope that the flavor would perk up after mixing but nadda. I've found very few Cap's flavors that I like but the ones that are good are very good. Watermelon isn't one of the good ones.

Ive had Caps Watermelon and I didnt think it was bad just not for me. I would mix a small amount amount 5-10mil with no Nic and let it sit a couple of days. Then you will know for sure. I would start new mixes around 5%.

OK thanks, I'll give it a fair shot.

Aye, the wm definitely is one of their stronger flavours I've tried so far (though I just got my second order which had a lot more flavours to try recently). I can't say mine smells like magic marker, but I guess it has a strong chemical undertone in raw form? Definitely smells of melon more than anything to me though.

Just got my order in from Capella. Got two of the 5 pack deals.

Flavor 1: Apricot
Flavor 2: Banana
Flavor 3: Caramel
Flavor 4: Espresso
Flavor 5: Harvest Berry
Flavor 1: Hot Cinnamon Candy
Flavor 2: Strawberries & Cream
Flavor 3: Sweet Strawberry
Flavor 4: Pina Colada
Flavor 5: Vanilla Custard

So far I've only tried the Vanilla Custard, Harvest Berry, and Pina Colada. No steeping done just mixed up some batches at 5% and dripped a bit into my dual coil phoenix rba (1.8 ohms @ 4.8 volts). I could barely bring myself to put the Pina Colada down! Sooo good. I wanna let it steep a bit though. The Vanilla Custard is really good too but I think 5% might be a bit much for it, reminds me a lot of TFA's french vanilla, definitely gonna be mixing with it. The Harvest Berry is exactly what I thought it would be, in a good way, but it seems like it's lacking something...sweetness maybe, lots of flavor though. Gotta let these steep to see how they change. Using a 50/50 PG/VG premixed at 15mg nicotine, then I further cut em by adding 1 part premix to 1 part VG (well PG with the Vanilla Custard), so a 5ml batch comes in at around 7mg after I add the flavor.

So after some steeping and playing around, I've fallen in love with the banana flavoring. Great on it's own, but incredible with caramel and vanilla custard. Add a lil menthol and I'm good to go. Gone through about 30ml of it so far and still loving it. Think I'll call it Banana Bliss.
7 parts Capella Banana
5 parts Capella Caramel
7 parts Capella Vanilla Custard
1 parts Flavor Apprentice Menthol

Actually really starting to get a taste for the caramel too, might try a batch with higher caramel than banana, or drop down the vanilla and keep the other two equal.
