Towknee did you try snickers at 15% ?

Right now its at 10% and Im going to let it steep a couple of days before I add more. I always like to wait 3 days before I make any changes. You know how much this stuff loves to steep. I like it at 10% but Im just not getting any nutty taste. I am getting the chocolate, vanilla and a touch of caramel but not any nutty flavor. Which is why Im going to let it steep for a bit. Then if nothing changes Ill raise it to 15%. 15% seems to be max for me in these flavor anymore than that and its seems a bit too rich for me.

I also filled some watermelon and boy this stuff is really good. Just like STR8 said at 5% its a very natural watermelon taste. If you add tart & sour or raise it end up being more of a jolly rancher watermelon. So if you like the natural taste mix it at 5% with tart & sour. The T&S really makes this flavor straight up jolly rancher which i really like. After using the T&S more frequently on my fruity mixes the more I cant do without it.

When mixing with new flavors I always start out at 5%. With tobacco stuff I start at 1%. Its much easier to add then take away.

If you add too much flavor how do you lower it and how do you know how much you've lowered it? Dumb question I know but please ignore said ignorance. Thank you.

Lulu it's a good idea to test with just pg/vg so you don't waste your nic. Here's an example and I hope it helps...if not, please ask again ;)

For this example, I'm going to use 3ml ...
put 3ml of pg or vg in a container
add .3 ml of flavoring to give you 10% flavoring

If it's too strong, add more pg until it tastes right to you. If too weak add more flavor. (keep track of what you're adding)
Once you decide what's good (as an example let's say you ended up liking .3ml of flavor in 5 ml of base.
You now know that if you want to mix up 20ml of juice, you need 1.2ml of flavor (based on .3ml per 5ml).

Or...you could do the same with drops if that's what you prefer, but it gets to be a PIB when mixing larger amounts.
Just keep track of how much flavor you like in a small ml sample, then multiply it by the mls of juice you want to make (notes..keep lots of notes).

My brain's not working yet ...does this make sense to you?

Hi Bostonsnboxers..........thank you for your reply. In theory I totally understand what you are saying but in reality I hate doing math and making tiny adjustments and waiting for steeping and trying again.....over and over and over. Someone in this thread said that if a person can't make a good juice with Capella then they don't need to be DIYing. Apparently I fall into the realm of those that need to step back from the flavor bottles. I THINK I made some decent "one flavor" juice last Friday but woke up Saturday with "severe sinuiits" (according to the diagnosis sheet) so I still cannot even taste food much less the subtleties of vapor. Therefore the jury is still out on decision about it. Thanks again for your reply.;)

One thing that i do on occasion that made my juices lack was knowing which flavor should be your base . This is important . Also always using mixes . Standalone flavors imo can come out good but always feel like there lacking that extra punch . Try using the opposite base/dominant flavor in your juice as see how it comes out .

I used to try t make say a cookie juice . I would always do say 10% cookie and 4% vanilla custard . It would always be lacking . I then thought maybe its backwards . I then tried 10% vanilla and 4% cookie and its much better . Sometime what you think should be your base flavor is the opposite .

Just vaped my batch of Snickerdoodle and it is very good even at 5% so I bumped up the flavor another 10%. This is a very awesome flavor. It is definitely the candy bar snickers flavor not the cookie. The first thing I thought of was this can be an excellent base for a RY4 type recipe. All you would really need is a good tobacco and maybe a touch of caramel. I haven't added any vinegar or lime juice to this mix as of yet. I want to taste it right now as a stand alone as so far its pretty damn good.
This was also steeped for a day and did not do a hot water bath. I think I'm going to give these some hot water loving though and see if I can tell any flavor change with this one.

So you're saying it tastes like chocolate, caramel, peanuts and nougat? No cinnamon no cookies? Hmm......

Made some candy cane, I tried 10% cool mint, 2% marshmallow and 1% EM. Pretty tasty, but missing a little "kick" you think that if I've used peppermint would have been better?

I made Candy Cane and used peppermint so you might try that.

I was topping off my carto not paying attention and thinking it was the Fudge Brownie with Marshmallow but it was actually Strawberry Cheesecake (all Capella)! Well, it's fantastic, tastes just like milk chocolate dipped strawberries!!! LOL Now to see if I can recreate it. If nothing else I'll mix them separately first then add them together at about 30% of my Chocolate Fudge Brownie mix and 70% Strawberry Cheesecake mix. I think that's close to how much CFB I added before realizing what I had done.

Yesterday I talked to Randy and she said she has some flavorings that have been around for 4 years that are still good. She said they last a lot longer than their recommended 9-12 months and the main thing that will happen is they may lose some of their strength. I thought this was good news for those of us that have bought too many flavors to possibly use in 9-10 months.

I still think its a great flavor though but I just don't taste the nuggety nuts lol. Its at 10% now and scared to go to 15% but I may ...... dun dun dunnnnnn

I usually always use capella flavorings at 15% so maybe the rest of the flavors will come out as you go higher
