Ok, I hope this is the right place for this, if not I don't mind it being moved.

I plan on taking a motorcycle trip in June and have been pondering what I can do to keep my PV going while on the road. It is easy enough to install a plug for a car charger on the bike, but I am not sure that is a good idea. I can't find any chargers that have a cord, which makes sense for a car, but leaving it that exposed on the bike seems like it could do some damage. Anything open to air will of course take a pretty good beating. Bugs, wind, rain anything in between. I would like to find one that has a cord so I could plug it in and then put the charger with the battery in my tank bag.

Any ideas? Should I just try it and hope for the best? My other idea is to buy an eGo or Tornado so I can just charge the battery when I get to a hotel and hope it lasts the day. Maybe the way to go, and it's not like I don't want one anyway.
