Be careful with what and how much you plug into that. A typical laptop under load will be drawing around 135 watts. A laptop and a PT in an adapter together will likely be enough to pop the fuse in the inverter.

I use a 650 watt inverter on the accessory jack, and an 1800watt under the hood with AC plug running back into the cabin. (That needs an alternator rewind...)

Thanks for the heads up Adrenalynn! My intention was/is to never use AC outlet AND USB at the same time!

If we could only figure out how Tesla was able to supposedly transmit power thru the air we could all go wireless.

Leave me alone Addy, I can dream.......

Consider yourself left alone. ;)

Tesla was a tremendous genius. But he had a bit of a problem with scale. Things that work in the small-scale don't always scale up cleanly. I totally understand where his head was - I have to constantly check myself for the exact same problem.

No problem. I was more thinking of AC laptop adapter + AC adapter with a PT on it. But regardless, just wanted to make you aware that 150wts is pretty tight for typical use.

Thanks again! The only reason I got that inverter was in the event of a power failure here at home...I went a little 'overboard' with the anticipated ice storm a few days ago! At least I'm prepared, and ONLY to recharge! Thanks again!
