Personally, I'm not a huge fan of Caramel Original, I seemed to get a metallic taste out of it, but that might just be me.

I really wouldn't recommend buying 4oz of anything you haven't tried, it could be a huge waste of money if you make the wrong decision. Why don't you buy 10ml sizes of both, along with 10ml of Flavourart Caramel (which is one of my favorites)? Then you could make some test batches of each and see which one appeals to you - then buy 4oz of your favorite.

Flavorah caramel is the flavour I'm loving the most atm even if it is a supporting flavour in my juices ( I've not used it above 2%). Its more of a real caramel sauce flavour then a artificial candy, I'm new to DIY but have mostly flavourart stuff myself and all of them are very true to there flavour, there not naturally super sweet at least the flavours I have and potent you only need a little.

Thanks for the input. I think you are correct. I will try a smaller size.

Thanks for the reply. I am using it as a main flavor along with vanilla custard and bavarian cream.

Hmm, have to try that on my next order. I don't have a lot of Flavorah yet, because I usually order from Bull City who doesn't carry it. Ecigexpress just started carrying it, so maybe on my next order with them. Thanks for the suggestion.

Just to throw it out there, I happen to like Flavor West Caramel Candy. I think it is a great mixer.

Ooh...I need to try that onr when I run out.

Have them both. TFA Caramel orig. is not for me. I have been using TFA CC and it's seems to be working better. Not a big fan of either. Heard that FW CC is the way to go.

I bought some tfa caramel after I ran out of CAP caramel. I prefer the CAP version. However tfa caramel candy is good. But I now what to try fw caramel candy. Y'all have me intrigued.

What mixes have you tried? I'm looking for a Caramel apple recipe. The Caramel I have isn't quite right though.

Mostly tobacco's but also with creams for a caramel and cream. It might work with some green apple for your caramel apple.

Some green apple sounds better. I have not tried caramel and apple, but I would be concerned that the caramel might overwhelm the apple flavor. A tart green apple at a higher percentage than the caramel seems a good first direction to me. Then again, that is just me. When I see adjectives like "green", "tart" or "candy", I take note.

I got little 5ml bottles and I try a lot of variations, knowing that only one is going in the direction that i want to go. Then it is just a matter of adjusting percents in another 5ml bottle to "walk" the recipe into the target mix.

Good luck!

I make hybrid NETs and caramel is one of the main secondary flavorings used in several of my mixes. For my caramel flavor nuance I blend three caramel concentrated flavorings together, FW Caramel Candy, Lotus caramel and TFA Caramel original. The percentages of each depends on my mood at the time but the Lotus Caramel is always just 1% (it's potent).

I don't remember ever trying the Flavorah Caramel, think I need to do so.

You might try FA Fuji for your apple. Maybe with a little FA Apple to round it out. Fuji tastes like a ripe fuji apple, so sort of like a green apple with a little red apple sweetness. It's pretty strong. I've never used it over 1%, so go slow.

For a caramel apple, I usually mix a small amt of fa caramel for the rich, burnt sugar base, with some tfa caramel candy for a buttery caramel flavor. I haven't tried Flavorah's Caramel yet, though. It's on my list.
