okay.. i'm debating trying caramel, but after the FVIC debacle of mine, i'm woindering if all 'sweet' vapes have that sourmilk aspect? does anyone like caramel but not like the FVIC, or vanilla ice cream, etc?

Ice cream sundae didn't resemble sourmilk in any way at all to me, I heard they were similar somewhere (french vanilla and it).
I'll be honest with you, the caramel tastes nothing like caramel. It has a sort of burnt taste to it. It deff needs some work, caramel is a tough taste to replicate. But hey that's just my opinion, I also don't like caramel frap, but I know you do, so it may be different for you. As they say, it's all about perception and taste being so damn subjective. HaHa!
Have you tried butterscotch? It's very yummy!! And NO sour milk taste! I'm bummed to hear the reviews of the caramel, because I love caramel and was going to try some of V4L's... now I'm not so sure if I will.

As far as FVIC, may give it some time? I seem to have problems with any cream type flavour until I get used to it. I really didn't care much for FVIC at first (or Spiced Cider) and now they are daily vapes for me. I can't get enough FVIC! I've gone through 5 carts this *week*! :drools:

I think what you are tasting is the cream. Normally that taste isn't in flavors unless it says "cream" somewhere. But I did get a hint of it in the caramel and in the butterscotch. The butterscotch also had a slug of butter flavor too. Sounds silly Right? But I think it should be a touch..not a slug.

i'm still debating but we'll see. i was eyeing the caramel because the CMF is out of the mg's i preferred, and 4 is way too light for me. i haven't tried the butterscotch either, maybe i should try that. i'm not tired of my 'usual flavors' but just am curious about others. this does help (that it's the 'cream' aspect that made me gag out) because sometimes i have a 'omg i need sweet!' moment and no vape to fill it!! in a week i can no longer eat food so .. not that vaping will SOLVE that, but...

Butterscotch! I gotta get some of this! Had no problems with this one. Delish from the first vape.
If you like those butterscotch hard candies then I recommend Butterscotch b/c it vapes exactly like the candy tastes.

i STRONGLY suggest the butterscotch. the caramel flav was a bit weak for me, tbh. but the butterscotch is amazin'

I agree. I also found the caramel a little weak!. Butterscotch has tons of flavor and vapor!!
Old caramel sucked out loud. The new caramel = new awesomeness. I'm vaping it right now.
What color are the carts? I'm not sure which caramel I have, they're a dark greyish green?
I have a question, how can we find out when a cartomizer's flavor has been tweaked. I think that would be useful because I vowed to never try caramel again, I think it would be beneficial to let us know somewhere on here when flavors change. This is the first time of hearing of this. Now I'm gonna order some.
kimmy's post X 1000. i can't decide whether or not to try some of the fruits i -hated- again, for that same reason. the flavs that have come out since i've been here have rocked, so i expect the tweaked fruit flavs will too, but i will not subject myself to the old ones again. 
I tried watermelon couple months back I THINK Then it was a pink cart didn't like but just got fruit sampler had watermelon in it with red cart delicious.
yup. I bought caramel like my 2nd month vaping and thought it was blah. I just got some more. Steve told me a few weeks ago to try it again and it was better. If that meant tweaked, dunno, but will find out... but i do like it better now. It's subtler than butterscotch but it's totally om nom nom
If you're trying to replace the CMF I would go with a coffee flav and not the caramel but that's me.
I loved butterscotch about well.. three weeks ago when I started.. can't vape it now. It's way too sweet for me. That sickly sweet you referred to. I like the straight coffee. Good flavor and sweet just not over the top.
