Yes, both can be run on a mech mod BUT that's not saying you will like their performance on a mech mod.

I like my nautilus running at between 15-18 watts. I like the Atlantis at 35+ watts. A mech mod won't give me that. And then there is this. With a mech mod the only way to "fine tune" your vape is to install (or build) a new coil. With a high vv/vw regulated mod (and its buck/boost circuitry) you can "fine tune" with a push of a button. On a mechanical mod your voltage drops as you vape, with a regulated mod this does not happen. Your first hit is just as good as your last hit.

Battery life isn't really the issue. A mech mod can perform really well, but since your only means of adjusting your vape is the resistance of your coil you need to pair the proper resistance to get the vape you desire. Also in any unregulated device the battery's voltage will go down throughout the charge life (unlike a regulated device that will maintain a constant output voltage), so your vape will change gradually from full charge to re-charge.

I think those are the points susan was making, hope that explains some :)

Everybody likes something different and many of us use both mechs and regulated devices, both can be a great experience. You just have to learn how to get the most out of whatever options you are using

Got a DNA 30 on the way.. Just looking to play around and learn about mec mods and RBA. So I take it the battery life on something like a mech mod is not to good?

A mech mod is basically a container for a battery.
On most mech mods, they include adjustable center pin on the 510 connector; that has been a big problem on regulated mod where you have an otherwise perfectly good device but the center pin gets pressed in and you can't get it working again without risking tearing apart the device.

Once you get off the cigs and get established vaping, having a couple mechs lying around is good for backup.

I've got vamo's and a sigelei zmax; the thread on them is m21x1.
I picked up 2 chi you's and a king mod; (oh! and a ph22); also m21x1 threaded; so I got interchangeability between some parts.

I also picked up a private, sentinel, nemesis but they're put in a box - all different threads.

Also got a poldiac; not m21x1 threaded, but it is top fired, unlike mose mech mods which are bottom fired.
