'Caravella' Mechanical Mod (clone) ... 18650 Flat-Top or Button-Top battery?

I just ordered one of those cheap fasttech 'Caravela' clone mechanical mods.

It comes with an 18650 tube, so I am going to buy an Efest 2000mAh (Li-Mn) battery for it.

I have heard that these mods take a flat-top battery, but can I also use a button-top?

I have heard that sometimes there may be a slight gap between the tube and the AeroTank Clearomizer. Would this gap maybe be wider with a button-top battery (I have an idea that a button-top may be slightly longer from tip to tip than a flat-top)?

You should be able to adjust your positive pin down so the tank sits flush, but I would definitely suggest a flat top battery as my button top is a bit too long and I have to leave my bottom cap unscrewed a little, which creates the tiniest gap. Not a big deal but I can tell you the button top would fit perfectly.
