Quite a few carbon fiber type mods popping up now. Anybody know how durable they are? I'm sure they conduct well.
I have the Tobeco clone of the Vape Smith Knight mod... it is carbon fiber, but it is only a carbon fiber sleeve over a copper tube (authentic is the same way, as are most CF mods, I believe).
Anyway, it is plenty durable, I carry mine every day. Hits just like any solid copper mod... I put a copper Tobh on top of it and I use it every day.

There is also the Ameravape Manhattan clone called Ameraclone FUhattan which sells for $45 and comes in a variety of carbon fiber colours like black, red and blue at least.![]()
For a $45 full-copper mod with a carbon fiber shell I would imagine it wouldn't hurt to drill out few vent holes around the button area or the topcap area, and afaik they have fixed some of the Manhattan vent fails with the FUhattan, which is basically a USA-designed, china-manufactured fixed Manhattan (I might be wrong on this also, all I know it's way cheaper than an authentic AV Manhattan and works fine (I don't own one but planning on getting one)) Damn that's a lot of ('s and )'s hahah :_DI've never been a fan of the Manhattan... absolutely can't stand they way their vent system works... the only thing more unsafe than that would be a straight tube with NO vent holes...

Haha like the cu mod, authentic that I bought that has no venting. Payed 100 bucks for it
Certainly, it won't be the most pleasant feeling to have a mod explode in your hand due to no venting and having the ER team pull out small shards of the mod pipe which turned essentially into a pipebomb.Yeah... I have no problem drilling holes in stuff... every mod I have has extra holes... I just don't like how the Manhattan was designed.
Even the Knight only has holes at the bottom... except for mine. It has holes in the top, too, now...
I bought a Youde Gladiator (26650 mod)... they vent at the switch kinda like the Manhattan without the required pressure before it actually vents out of the mod... I drilled extra holes in the tube for good measure.
I'm way too prone to run in deep sub-ohm territory... (0.15 to 0.3 is normal for me)... I just prefer to make sure that I have plenty of ventilation points. You know... just in case. Though I have never vented a battery, and have no intention to... I'd still rather make sure that the pressure has a place to go if I do.
I work with high pressure (> 30,000 psi) on a daily basis... I am fully aware of what trapped pressure is capable of, and I'd rather not experience that phenomenon in my hand![]()

(I'm running 0.6-0.4ohms and no batteries have ever vented on me and i certainly don't plan on having any batteries vent on me, but in case that happens, I have established a plan I use in case of battery failure which I have also told my fiancee to use also if something goes wrong)
Hahaha that works also even though I'm not interested in committing any felony, let alone attempted murder or mauling xDLOL... my plan is to hand it to someone that I don't like and take three steps back...![]()
I've been looking at CF copper mods for quite sometime now. I've been wanting a copper mod, but I would like to avoid getting the penny smell on my hands after a good vape session.
I've been looking at the Tobeco Knight Clone and the Hcigar Paragon clone. I can't seem to find a good, in-depth review of both/either so I've been having trouble pulling the trigger and buying one.
I love the simple look of the Paragon, but I heard the volt drop on it under like a 0.4ohm load is around like 0.8V? My HCigar SS M16 can compare to that and I vape at around 0.35ohm, so I'd prefer to have a mod with less voltage drop. Can anyone with one vouch for this clone?
The Knight is my second option, looks pretty promising, but for some reason I like the way the Paragon looks a lot more. I haven't found a good review of its performance other than "it hits like a train."
