Yes, they are quite different, and I love them both.

I'm not too sure I'm very good at descriptions, but I'll give it a shot...

Let's see..People often say that 555 has "nutty" undertones, you know. Comparatively, I do not taste that at all in the Carolina. It's for sure a great tobacco flavor, but as far as 'undertones' go, I'd say a mild "tea leaf" undertone is present. No, it doesn't taste like you're smoking tea..but that's the best way I can describe it. Lots of flavor. The vapor is incredible...(for the record..I've yet to come across a cartomizer with better vapor production than the VaporNine turbo's, and ditto for the juices)

Anyham, if you're a tobacco flavor fan, I would definitely give the Carolina a try.

Maybe tastes like tea smells? :p

Oddly enough, that idea appeals to me.

I agree about the turbos...it's not often you get something that actually lives up to your expectations...these are everything they're cracked up to be.

Tonight I took one of the 555 cartos, added a couple of drops of menthol and it's as close as I think is possible.

I don't know why I've never thought of this before...a menthol cigarette isn't just menthol ~ it's tobacco and menthol yet we try to mimic that same flavor by just using menthol flavoring.

It was one of those ah-ha moments.
