Make-up cases do work !!!

If using one, make sure if you are using rechargeable batts that you do put them in a separate battery case then.

You do NOT want batts flopping around inside a makeup case, touching other metals. Unless you like carrying a possible grenade. :)

I personally like my stuff with heatable coils and batteries and stuff to be locked down not touching other stuff. Clearomizers for instance, that center post could get knocked a bit and then not make good contact w/battery (as it is I"m sometimes having to pull down the center post a bit). Also, I do not like my eGo batt top to be clanking around inside a case against other stuff.

That´s much of myth than reality. I´ve been using the same pencil case since 2009 and it works great. Metal with metal, if batts are turned off shouldn´t be a problem. These are high tech batteries, they don´t damage unless you drop them from a great height

Make-up cases work and hold quite a bit. When I just wanted to carry an e-cig and a couple of bottles of juice, I used a hard-shell sunglasses case. There are some pretty cool little camera cases that may fit your stuff. It's super fun to just look around and see. There are some little boxes with latches that are sold/used for pencil cases at Walmart for cheap that would hold everything.....it's pretty much wide open. Target has some cool little zipper cases in the wallets section.....

Makeup brushes cases can work as well... I have to check dimensions for batts, but most eGo Vision will go in.

Explosions, maybe not but a dead short is very possible and that can be dangerous.
Look at this other thread here

or this one http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/battery-issues/332155-battery-go-boom.html

It´s been a long while since a battery exploded. It CAN happen, but it´s not usual. Fact is that happened in a jeans pocket means that the battery was faulty to begin with. Otherwise everything could explode, and it´s just one in thousand or million of devices.

Actually, random failures are not my greatest concern because, as you said, they are very rare.
It is the short caused by touching metallic objects in the pocket that should be of concern.
In the case of the first link, the short seemed to have been caused by contact with a pair of tweezers and other objects.

I wouldn't take such a light attitude about battery safety. I've had a couple of batteries carried in a pocket of change that got the coins so hot it almost burned me. I also had a battery explode inside a mod a few months ago when the power switch got compressed in a pants pocket. Pic is below. Thank goodness the pants were in a locker and not on me when this occured. And, this was a so-called "protected" Trustfire brand battery. Both endcaps got blown out and the skin casing melted. Explosions can and do happen with these powerful batteries. I believe it happens more than is reported.

Ever since, I always put my mods into a case (not a pocket) and either unscrew the battery cap enough to prevent firing or remove the battery altogether.
