Carrying, storing batteries

Greetings all,

I know this is a pretty basic question but I have searched and haven't come up with an answer. I just bought a Gripper and I had already ordered some IMR 18350 batteries and storage cases that will hold 2 single 18650 batteries or 4 18350 batteries.

Can I keep two 18350 batteries in the same compartment of the storage case? They would be stacked and therefore touching each other but since the bottom of one and the top of the other wouldn't be touching anything conductive I'm thinking it would be safe. Just wanted to get an informed opinion as I'm completely new to this.

I carry my 18350s like that. As you say, nothing to complete the circuit. 18350s are also short enough to fit side-by-side if you feel more comfortable that way.

I have 2 different size battery cases. But where I bought them from shows 4 in a case or 2 larger ones. No need to worry.

I didn't think I had anything to worry about but the last thing I want is a fire in my pocket

I just throw 2 18350's in my back pocket if i'm going to be out all day. Since there's nothing in my back pocket to complete the circuit its no problem. Plus I don't have to worry about any bulk from a case to be sitting on... It's worked for 2+ years now...

I keep a couple extra 18xxx bats in a plastic baggie. No problems.
