So I have had my 901 for about a week now and I have been using the same cart the whole time. I just top it up by dripping directly onto it a couple of times every day.

Unless I am changing flavours, or chew the plastic mouth piece to bits is there any good reason to change the carts regularly? My understanding is that PG is a disinfectant...

If you keep them wet.. they stay pretty well for quite some time.. if they get dry at all.. they get brown and burnt.. but you can replace the stuffing instead of the whole cart.. see "restuffing cart" video by terraphon in reviews section. You can also wash them out with hot water and squeeze in a paper towel and let dry overnight. usually if they look white after washing.. they are good to go the next day. Someone said something about putting them in a washing machine.. but I can't see how that would be good for your clothes and you couldn't use any soap on them... could be bad to inhale that residue.

They taste burnt when they get burnt... but lots of juice can disguise it (but it still seems like a bad idea to keep using after it's burnt). Not supposed to be any mold cause th PG kills it I think (I read that somewhere on here). The nicotine potency would be in the juice.. so that will not change.. but the ability of the wick (material) decreases with use. It gets flat and does not hold as much juice as well. This causes the juice to leak out of the cart into your mouth (yuck.. and poinsonous) so it is good to change the stuffing every once in a while anyway.
