After asking this wonderful community for their advice, I recently purchased a Riva 901 from Liberty-Flights. I love it. Haven't smoked or dipped in three days (since the hour I got it). No withdrawals. :D

I love the reduced throat hit of the 901, and the vapor production is "okay" (the first draw is always the best, then it gets worse and worse, until I let the atty cool down).

My real concern is that I'm finding it a total pain in the rear to keep adding drops to my cart. I've read about these "Drip-Tips", which let you drip your juice strait from the end of the PV, without taking out the cart.

My question is, do drip tips fit onto the end of a cart? Or attach directly to the atty? I've also read on here that some folks drip DIRECTLY onto the atty, instead of the cart filler. Is this safe?

Thanks,

Hi GMC, just remove the filler from your cart, drip a couple of drops directly onto your attie put the empty cart back on and vape. You'll get 15 or so decent hits off them.A drip-tip just saves the hastle of removing the empty cart to drip on your attie. So yes,get a drip tip and they do indeed replace the cart.

Congratulations!

You can do either with a drip tip. You can put drops directly down to the filler in the cart, or you can take the cart off and put a few drops onto the atty. The drip tip replaces the end cap. Make sure you get a tip that fits the 901.

I use a drip tip on my cartos. They hold more than carts.

I don't recommend a drip tip unless you have manual batteries. All auto ones are open in the middle of the threaded end.

And it sticks in the atty instead of the cart sticking in the atty. Litecigusa.net has some and their shipping is cheap. I do not recommend the clear plastic ones. Get the black Delrin if you don't want metal. I am using an aluminum one.

My "end cap" is part of the carts I have. The cart just has a tiny hole to breath through.

And what's the difference between a "Carto" and "Cart"? :)

My Riva 901 has a manual battery, so I should be good, right?

Also... after dripping 3 drops directly on the atty... how many vapes can I get off of that? When I was running low on juice in the cart, I could tell from the acrid taste that would develop (I assumed this was the burning filler). But the vapor was still there.

How can one tell you need more juice when dripping directly onto the atty?

My responses in bold:

Not sure what they meant by end cap, either. Mine are just a mouth piece, in order to drip with it you have to take it off and put 2-3 drips right on the bridge of the atty. Put the mouth piece back on and vape. I get about 10-15 drags before I have to drip again. The drip tip replaces the mouth piece with one that has a big enough hole in it so that you don't have to take it off to drip the juice down into the atty - it just saves some time and hassle.

a cart is the mouth piece that has the filler in it and attaches to your atty, you drip your juice into it to top off.
a carto is a cart with an atty built into it - it's like an all-in-one.

yes.

It's about the same experience as using a cart IMO.. you get about 10-15 drags and it starts to taste acrid or else the flavor drops off.

How can one tell you need more juice when dripping directly onto the atty? flavor starts to drop off or suddenly your throat is on fire.

Hope that helps some. :)
