Cart Problems?

Hey everyone, I seem to be having some problems with my carts. For one, the pinapple one I bought has never worked at all. Two, the carts are getting a burnt taste to them very badly so I thought they were dried up and dead, however if I pull the cap off there is a TON of juice still in there. Having this problem with a lot of the carts I have....anyone else experiencing the same thing? Are they just bad carts that I need to try to work something out with V4L for replacement, or is there some trick I should know? For instance the watermelon one smoked fine for a little bit, then got a burnt taste and now I cant even stand to vape it. I thought it was out and put it aside, and then out of curiousity I pulled the rubber cap off and there is a BUNCH of juice in there so I would think that I should be able to vape fine. When I say a bunch of juice, the thing is dang near dripping. Im noticing this with about 10 carts now =(

Hey Klaven,
Sorry to hear you're having problems. One thing to remember is that you have to give the juice time to get to the wick. In other words, continuous back to back vaping does not give the juice time enough to replenish the wick & then when you draw, the atomizer is burning the wick/filler instead of vaporizing the juice. If you get to that point, there is little you can do to get rid of the burned taste.

So, you can either slow down your vaping or alternate between 2 or 3 cartos so that none of them get too hot. Once in a great while, you might get one that just gets too hot no matter what you do. I've gone through hundreds of cartos and probably can count on one hand how many of these bad ones there have been. Just remember that these are all hand made and so there is some variation from carto to carto.

Regarding the pineapple one - if you have a multimeter, that is the easiest way to check if it is indeed dead. If not, then try Sally's trick in the stickies here about fixing a non-working carto. Sometimes the carto doesn't make a connection to the battery, and her fix is a good one - but just try pulling up on the connector, do not turn much or you will break the wiring inside the carto.

Also, I'm curious. Are you using the pass through or a battery? And are you using the cool carts or the Wow carts? If you're using the Wow cartos on a passthrough, you might want to switch those to the battery. With the lower resistance of the Wow cartos, I think the 5 v of the passthrough is too much.

See the sticky above regarding carts that don't work. It is amazing how many carts that were thought to be bad, were fine after the connector was pried up a bit. Try it. Good luck.
