I have been bumming around the forums, trying to wrap my brain around this cart refilling business so I don't have to drip all the time.
I have seen numerous videos on polyfill, blue foam mods etc. Of course a lot of these are using different models than the V2 and/or Protege.
Just looking for some input on how this concept works in context to a V2 or a Protege.
Am I to understand...on a basic level... you are just putting the stuffing of choice into the cart (mouthpiece?) and dripping in the fluid (onto the filler)?
I may not truly understand the anatomy of a cart and am wondering how this keeps the atty from burning dry, since the fluid is nowhere (as far as I can tell) near the burning part of the atty...or maybe the blue foam (I have some of this) is wicking the juice down the wick to the element?
I also see a lot of people doing this with 801s and 510s...the 801s need to be a high bridge model? Can this be done with a 901 as well?
Sorry for the barrage of questions, just trying to add some information to my vaping arsenal.
**EDIT**
Okay, I dissected a mouthpiece, and I think I get it now. I had always assumed the mouthpieces were "straw-like" I didn't realize there were vents through the side creating a negative pressure in the atty causing the juice to wick.
Using that, I think I understand that straw/dart mod and it is ever so nice...
and just so I don't waste space on yet another useless thread here's the link to that thread:
BFD Cart Mod
I'm a visual learner so this simple idea took me an hour to understand.
Thanks for stopping by and have a golden day.
