Ok, got a debacle going on. Just a brief background on the situation. Have a KR-808 which was just not satisfying my on a couple of levels (battery life and satisfying vapor). So I ordered and Ego and that's were I'm at (Kit only had cartridges, no drip tip.

I tried the cartridges (seriously????) Not the best experience in the world. I came from 808 carto's and this is just flat out !@#$$%'d. If a cartridge needs to be dripped just like dripping on an atty for the same vapor. Why bother? (Unless I'm dumb and doing something wrong...Which could be a possibility). The first few vapes were awesome, then poof! Not enough.

Being a cartomizer fan from the 808's, and frankly I would only drip tip/atty's if I did not want to spend cartomizers trying new juice. So here is the dilemma.

I realize I now LOVE cartomizers!!! Were I am torn is, do I get some really good carts? Or do I try the tank system? Converting is easy, a tank atty and some tank carts right? I love the vapor off of carto's, but I am dying to try the tank.

So, Cartz (single or dual coal?) or Tank?

I am a man of convenience, I think cartz might prevail but would like some input. The tank system looks so sweet, but yet has it's issues. How flawed could a Tank be compared to the !@#$!#$ of a cartridge??????

The main selling point is I dont want to have to %$@$ around filling or dripping every 15 mins

Ok so I'm not hardcore, work to many hours to have to get crazy on this stuff, just looking for some feedback. Thanks you guys rock!

My two favorite Ego-T configurations:

1 - Type B Large Tank (2 ml) and I prefer the standard resistance Type B atomizer. Note: many like the low resistance atomizer better and claim that the flavor is superior. I have 5 complete setups of this, and all of them have been going strong for over 4 months without a problem.

2 - Ego-T battery with the Ego Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer (holds between 4 and 5 ml). There have been many reported problems with some of the latest batches from MadVapes. The latest that I got work perfectly, but they're from a different vendor - VapingZone:

eGo Mega Dual Coil 4 ML Cartomizer LR 1.5 Ohm, 5 Pack - E Cig : Joye eGo & eGo-T | Boge Leo | Cartomizers | E-Liquid | Electronic Cigarette | eGo Tank

I like the convenience of large capacity, and the EMDCC certainly has that plus great flavor and vapor. So, I lean toward the EMDCC as being my favorite, but I regularly enjoy using the Type B Large tanks also. If you want to try things without investing a lot of money, you can get a 5 pack of the EMDCCs from VapingZone for $13.99 or you can also buy singles there. I hope this helps you some. :vapor:

You sound like I did a while back. I was sick of "fiddling" with things...just wanted something to hit (hard) and keep hitting hard without me having to mess with it constantly. I went from cart/attys to the eGo T (big mistake) to EMDCCs as mentioned by Tom10 above from Vaping Zone. Another great vape is the Fluxomizer from Gotvapes. You can do a 3 minute "seal mod" on them (video tutorial is on their YT channel) and they will fog like nothing else with awesome taste and terrific lung hit. The EMDCCs from VZ give MUCH better TH if that's what you're after though.

The main thing is that you have to try different things and see what works for you. My recommendation may or may not do it for ya'! I'd encourage you to get "out there" and try some new things on your eGo battery.

I use the eGo T type B LR and love it. I've tried the EMDCC a few different times and it just doesn't compare to the tank for vapor production or taste. I don't see a need to upgrade any further. If you use a fairly clear liquid, the tank atties only need cleaned every couple of days. Besides the EMDCC, I've tried 2 other types of cartos(including Boge) and the tank is by far the winner IMO.

You could buy some ECHO-E cartos for that 650 and that would be a very inexpensive try for you. They hold about 2.7 ml and give a very nice hit and many people swear by them. With 80/20 pg/vg you should get about 2 weeks out of one and then you can clean it and refurbish it like new because it is a horizontal coil design. Check it out.

Carts are dead. I never was successful with them and went to direct drip.

Direct drip was inconsistent so I went to eGo-T (tank).

eGo-T tank was fickle .. worked great then didn't work at all, some leaking, etc. However it was a good idea and I stuck with it to see what happened.

eGo-T LR was better than the original. The low resistance brought more flavor, vapor and was a bit more reliable.

eGo-T LR Type B was great. If you keep em clean, they do very well as a set and forget system. Holds 2.5 ml so not a lot of topping off throughout the day... Still, had to clean them pretty regularly.

510-T (tank) LR was next up. Out of all the tanks, this holds the least liquid - about 1 ml - but performs the best. Almost no maitanence, great vapor, hit and flavor.

Next up is cartomizers. I tried the genuine Joye cartos but they, in a word, sucked. Too hard to fill, too unreliable and never knew when they would die. Crappy flavor and since they are plastic they would melt if you were not careful. Not good.

Enter SmokTech eGo mega dual coil cartomizer. These are really good. They are easy to fill, are reliable and hold a few days worth of liquid (for me) easily. Good flavor, hit and lots of vapor.

I guess in the end is if you need the capacity ... go with eGo-T Type B LR tank system or the SmokTech mega dual coil carto. If you are not a heavy vaper, the 510-T LR is the best one I have found after two years of doing this stuff.

I direct dripped w/ a 510 for 2 years, as at that point in time, nothing else provided the flavor/vape I was looking for on a consistent basis. It just got to be a hassle, bring 3-4 batteries with me, when I went out for a night, always keeping things charged, though I got to the point where I could drip while driving. (Is that kind of like texting while driving?)

Anyway, I finally bought a Tornado tank system. I wanted battery life (that part is great!), didn't want to have to mess w/ juice every 10-15 mins (That part is great also!).. Vape production is good. BUT, I'm not really liking the flavor as much as direct dripping provided. Flavors like Ms T's Red Hotz do fine, but nuttier flavors like Ms T's Bananas Fosters Coffee (Which was purgatory for me dripping), has a slightly burnt taste, and the banana flavor just doesn't come out as strong. Customers on her site rave about her Snickerdoodle flavor. In my Tornado I taste it, but again, there is a dry after burnt flavor coming through at the end of every vape.

It's very aggravating! Any thoughts would be appreciated. (I vaped for 2 years solid on a 510 system, so I'm familiar with priming Atty's, cleaning/maintaining them)... Did I miss something on priming these Tornado tank Atty's?

The eGo type tanks really mute flavor. Have you tried a Fluxomizer Deluxe or an Acorn tank? The Fluxomizer Deluxe will need a seal mod to perform at it's best, but the Acorn Tank (click my signature for the link) is incredibly simple to fill...it's a great vape as well.

I've tried boge cartos, dual coil cartos and the eGo tank system. Cartos seem to vape well at first but the flavor becomes muted fairly quickly but they are cheap so I don't mind tossing them. The eGo tank (type A) leaked at first but once I got some soft caps it worked pretty well but it was inconsistant in the flavor area. The CE-2 flux from GotVapes work the best for me. There is some fiddle factor but once done they hit like a train!

carpedebass,

I did some reading, and figured that my atty wasn't wicking very well, taking a micro thin needle and creating a channel seems to help the juice flow better. Burnt taste already diminishing. (It's probably gone, but my taste buds got fried vaping the burnt taste for awhile).... How does your Acorn Tank help w/ flavor? Also wicking?

I have not tried these does a drip tip fit well into them?

A 510 drip tip fits just as well as in any carto. Works great!! Here's a horrible picture of the Acorn tank on top of my Shine mod...sorry, just have my cell to take pics with right now...

The Acorn tank is a completely different kind of tank as your TW tank. It wicks remarkably well...which in itself aids in flavor reproduction. The flavor is about as close as you can get to dripping without the hassle.
