If it comes with an atomiser, then it should also come with some cartridges that you fill with e-liquid plus you can direct drip onto the atomiser.

Cartomisers are cartridges with a built in atomiser & are much cheaper than atomisers, but are semi disposable. However they can be refilled several times & can last anything from a couple of days to a couple of weeks or more :) You can also use tanks with it.

Can you give us a link to the one you bought so we can check exactl what you are getting with it?

Okey dokey, you just got an atomiser with that kit, so you do need either a drip tip or cartridge for it. Got to admit that I think it's a tad mean of them not to at least include a drip tip with the kit. Yes you will need either cartridges t that you fill to use with that atomiser, or direct drip a few drops into it & use a drip tip to stop your lips being burnt if you push the voltage up.

I've seen some cartridges for the Ego-T that appear to replace the tip and atomizer with this new hollow chamber and tip. What are the benefits/disadvantages to each?

I had what I would call the "original" Ego-T and worked well for me, thinks its good for someone just starting out. Now I dont know from personal experience, but from what I have seen in reviews, is better performance and if I'm not mistaken less cost for the atomizer. Instead having to buy a new atomizer with cone (higher production cost) your just paying for the atomizer head and reusing the cone (less production cost).

Somewhere in PA on my Ultra Limited
in the picture it looks like a regular HV 510 atty with a drip tip (probably 3.0 ohm?). Funny, but in the video he demonstrates with a cartomizer. They include a HV atty (actually should be called HR - High Resistance) so that you can actually hit the higher voltage. LT's have a 2.5 amp switch, so they auto-lower the voltage with LR (Low Resistance) for safety. With out having it in hand, looks like it's setup for dripping (which is a bit to learn, but has the best flavor/hit).

as an FYI, the LT will take any 510 device so you can get cartos, other attys or even eGo accessories with an eGo adapter (~$4)
