I got a plexi tank and some boge cartos to go with my spinner. 1st & 2nd boge lasted a day each. Ordered some SVC and Smoktech carts. Punched the new "Cloudmaster" cart, primed it with my precious juice, loaded the tank and was hoping to enjoy a nice vape. F@@#ing thing DOA.

I am a brand new vaper, yet I am having so much trouble trying to vape with my plexi tank. I've done fine with some clearos and other juice, but I have clove that I love from TV and I need to use the plexi. Why does this have to be so much work to get a frelling vape!

/end rant

Try pulling the center pin of the carto down slightly with a small screwdriver or paperclip or small needle nose pliers. Just slightly though. The pin is probably not making contact with the pin of your PV.

The Boge cartos last me a long time in a tank. I make sure they are filled completely before putting them in my tanks. I use a small diameter syringe to fill my Boges.

carto' s defiantly have a learning curve to them!! I am also pretty new to Vaping, end of October for me. I've tried many things and because of my preferred juice I've had some sort of issue with everything. Loved the vivi nova but was going through a head a day, T3 is okok, it's hubs' preferred vape on his ego c. At present I am using a small single coil carto and like it a lot. At 1st that wasn't the case, I flooded every single carto on the 1st refill. Went through 5 of them in about 7 days, finally got hubs to change the orings that he insisted were fine and the last carto here after the oring change has been calling great, no floods, no leaks. I am able to vape at a lower temp, I'm on my 4th tank of juice too. I also decided to try refilling differently and tilting the tank as I SLOWLY refill. 1 of those things seems to have fixed the problem. Now I have to reuse the other carto' s until my new order arrives.
Point to my post is that usually when something is wrong it's a simple fix you just have to figure out what it is. Start with the prong as suggested, them move on to the next thing as suggested, just take a deep breath and don't give up. That's the hardest part. As a new vaper it's almost like we are going at this blind, everything makes us feel handicapped, HOWEVER... with each new thing we figure out we feel less handicapped, less frustrated, and much more empowered, we are no longer controlled but instead WE are in control!!
Did you learn anything from my post? it was intended to inspire because so far I don't know s**t about s**t!! sorry!! Hopefully Bad, Zapped, or OCD will be along soon and they know a lot about these things... GOOD LUCK!!

Hi Tegana, and welcome to ECF. Let me see if I or some others can offer you some help.

I'm still not clear what your specific issues with the tank are. First of all, I'm not familiar with the "plexi" tank you have. Can you provide a link or say where you got it?

I'm also interested in how you pre-filled your cartomizer before you installed it into your empty tank. Did you use the "condom method" or drip from the top? Please be detailed.

Did I understand that you are punching your carto's yourself?

It sounds like the tank was working initially, but stopped after a day's use? Did I understand that correctly? What exactly happened after that?

Hopefully we can work together to get this thing working for your vaping enjoyment. ;)

So glad you got the issue figured out Sennie.I have noticed that some of the o-rings provided with the IBTanks are different sizes. I just started using them last week and experienced a few flooding issues today after switching the super tight o-ring on the top out for one not as thick.

I think in both our cases the thinner o-ring was letting air into the tanks and causing them to act strange. Dunno if you experienced the same as me but they would be vaping fine and all of a sudden, juice pooling out of the bottom of the tank and flooded carto.

I saw that there are 2 different sizes, small and larger ones, I ordered extra' s in case we messed these up except I got extra of the larger ones which I am not quite sure what those are for. we actually changed the orings inside the caps, the smaller ones. This carto lasted about 4 tank before it got tight and started tasting a little burnt. Filler never did get super wet, flood, or leak. And just an fyi... tried cleaning and re- using the carto' s but yeah, didn't work so well. I ordered like 10 each from 2 different places and if Vapor God is able to switch out the accidental order with the right cartos I should be set for about a month, if not then it' 'll be a couple of weeks and HOPEFULLY ikenvape will have theirs back in stock.

I got the triple v pyrex tank from valley vapes w/aluminum caps. Punching my own cartos with a bullet punch which makes perfect holes without deforming the carto. First boge lasted a day, second boge lasted 1.5 days. 1st was LR running at 3.3v on the spinner, 2nd was SR ran at 3.5v. Ohm meter verified both dead, not just clogged. Using clove juice from TV pv/vg=80/20. I have been priming the cartos with a syringe to make sure the filler is properly saturated all the way through. I've also checked the carto holes by giving it a little blow and can see a bubble in my tank when I do so.

I looked more closely at the pin on the new "cloudmaster" carto, it is indeed pushed in a bit, I'll find my needle nose pliers and pull it out a tad. My boyfriend checked the carto with an ohm meter, and it is registering so it doesn't appear that it is DOA after all.

My vivi nova arrived yesterday, so I dumped my clove juice into that and have been happily vaping away-it is particularly tasty while drinking some eggnog :) I've also ordered an aluminum tank for the vivi so I don't have to worry about tank cracking with clove/citrus/cinnamon juice. I've also got some Kanger MT3's and a Vamo on order.

I think its just a matter of trying several different things to see which setup/combo works best for me. I am determined to find the right thing for me so that I don't go back to analogs. I am 1 week and 2 days now without smoking.

:toast: Congrats on the 1 week and 2 days smoke free!!

I don't know why your first carto's died on you after 1-2 days. Apparently both shorted out, confirmed by the ohm meter. My only thought would be some liquid leaked from the carto's connector and allowed the battery to short the coils in the carto. (?)

Sad that your first cartotank experience was mixed fruit. Happy that the Vivi Nova is working for you. We all find our sweet spot in vaping if we persevere long enough.

Vape strong... :vapor:
