Okay, so as I had said in past forums (and in my blog hehe) I recently purchased the BOGE 510 soft-cap cartos.

I know a bit about them, but the research is kinda overwhelming for me.

Okay, so do I need a syringe for filling them?
Is it worth cleaning them? I hear they work poorly after cleaning.
How long do they last (on average)?
Are they honestly better than carts? (I'm really sick of carts )

Thanks!

I just started using them, too. I haven't had one die out on me yet but what I have done was dedicated one per flavor and I figure I'll just keep refilling it until it dies. The ones I've been using are already lasting me longer than most atomizers do. lol I don't know exactly why. The current one I'm on has been refilled probably 10 times by now and it's still working great. I like cartomizers much better so far. I fill mine with the condom filling method, it's so quick and easy and lasts me over an hour if I'm constantly vaping on it, which I do.

Hi,

No, you don't need to fill with a syringe, but you can.
I haven't cleaned mine as I use dedicated cartos for each juice. Not that I won't clean them, but haven't had the need yet.
I've only had one die on me and it was maybe two weeks old. The others are going strong at 2+ weeks so far. Maybe I'm lucky here. Could last days or weeks, no way to really tell for sure.
Much better than carts. Carts need topped off all the time. I can go an hour or two depending on how much I'm vaping before needing to top off.

I've had one going for three weeks now, vaping constantly. I'm sure I've filled it several dozen times.

My wife's got three on a rotation and hasn't had one fail yet.

I started using them because I hate carts, I really don't like dripping, and after one atomizer lasted almost a month, I had three fail inside a week. And then my wife and I lost one each on roller coasters at knotts... :( I figure at the price difference, the odds can't be that much worse with cartos.

So far, way better than carts for me. Last much longer before refills. I usually refill 3 or 4 times a day, instead of topping off carts constantly or dripping every few hits. I've filled them with syringes, and dripping straight on the filler - not much difference between the two.

Somebody on here (the member who recommended BGE 510 soft-caps and I can't remember who for the life of me X_x) also mentioned the "condom" filling method. What is that? Will it work for soft-caps?

When I used 510 cartos, I just dripped on the filler 20-ish times on the first fill, waiting for a couple minutes after 10 or so, for it to soak. Slowly turning as I dripped.
When I'd top off I'd usually go for 10-15 or so.
I'd use a carto for a week+, then toss it. Tried cleaning, but for the hassle, I'd just rather buy new fresh ones. Sometimes I'd use one for much longer than a week, it works, but I can tell the flavor/etc is lacking and switched.

I have a soft cap, I think. (the little plug on the mouthpiece is soft silicone and not plastic.) It's really easy to fill. You put juice in one of the little "condoms" or silicone caps that come on the ends of your cartomizers when you get them--fill it to about 2/3 full. ( From here, I'll just tell you how I do it--I don't know if it's right or not but it works.) I then stick the mouthpiece end of the cartomizer into it and push down. The juice just gets sucked right up inside. When it starts coming out the threaded end, it's about full. :) It takes, like, 10 seconds.
