Im using a Vision Ego Spinner 1300mah, with a drilled Boge Cartomiser inside a Boge F16 tank.

All has been going well, however ive noticed over the past 24 hours that there seems to be a "delay" from when I press the button to take a vape, and the power actually firing up the carto....and ive had to increase the Voltage from my standard 3.9v up to the maximum of 4.8v to get a decent vape...??

Ive had the cartomiser in for about 8 days, and ive been thinking perhaps the Caro might be dying, but im not getting any "burnt" taste, its all still the same, just that it seems I need to increase the power to get a decent vape out of it now...is it possible for a carto to "die" but not blow with that burnt taste?

Or could it be a battery issue? I dont want to change the carto if I dont have to....cheers

Hi - you didn't say what pg/vg ration you are vaping, but regardless, with constant use, 8 days isn't bad for a carto. They don't always taste burnt when they are on their way out. The first thing I notice it the draw will get tighter and if I take the tip off and look down the coli it will appear discolored around the air flow tube.

A-HA!! Thanks Ocelot, I checked it and yes that looks to be the case. I'm Vaping 50/50 Juice at the moment. Hmmmmm off to the work kitchen sink I go for a carto swap...last time I did this I made a mess everywhere haha...
Thanks for the advice :)

Is the tank the kind with interchangeable top and bottom caps (as opposed to a designated bottom with a concave groove to hold the carto)? If the top and bottom are the same click on the link in my signature.

ETA: 50/50 will wear out you cartos faster - the thicker juice gunks up the filler; that said, I vape 70p/30v and 8 days would be about right for me.

Excellent! Thanks! Yes and the other way I saw it was to join the bottom of the old carto, the thread part, to the top of the new carto and simply push the new carto up...it pushes the old one out, and slams the new one up into the tank.
I've got it done...now I just gotta wait for it to prime itself as the only juice I have today is what's in the tank!
Thanks again for your help :)

yeah a bunch of stuff can happen in the carto that will force u to up the voltage :/
the coils can gunk up with juice, or they can gunk up with melted filler material or air tube material.
If that latter happens, then the coils wont heat up very well and then ull be able to get a better vape w/highr voltage until more gunks or more melts. then its allll over for ur little cartomizer. meh. that's why I like clearomizers. U can plainly keep checking the coil.

U might wanna try an alcohol soak with dying cartos. It'll help get the gunk off. then just air dry em and try em again.
