hey all

I've been vaping for about 14 months on an m401. after much debate i'm looking into getting a Silver Bullet. but as i've never used cartridges, or cartos and dripping would probably be a pain on such a powerful unit, i'd like some help.

as i'm totally new to this, i would need a very simple carto. it would also have to last more than one fill, and hold a considerable amount of fluid as i'm used to paying 9 bucks for an atty that i can run a minimum of 50 mls through before it dies; and i dont want any of this filler/ wicking that i hear talked about that can burn. i was looking at wordupecigs g4 clear carts but was told they leak... anyone have any suggestions?
TIA

If you don't want filler in a carto... There are some tank atomizers that are pretty great.

I have used the Sapphire 510 with fitted tank. I really liked them. Holds 1.5ml and no filler, no adapter or extension needed. No leaking. Available at GotVapes.com.

Also the FluX Maximizer 3.7ml tank. Also no filler and preburned wicking. I think you'd need a 510 extender adapter for it if you aren't using it on a eGo. I haven't tried them yet, but a friend of mine has and likes them.

GotVapes™ FLüX Maximizer 510 3.7ml Clear Tank Carto STAINLESS [gotvapes-fluxmaximizer-3.7-steel] - $6.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

They have lots of great new atty/carto products out. Maybe try a few?

As far as a regular carto, I like the Boge 510 cartos. They do have filler, and last 4 to 5 days with heavy vaping (these are disposable products). Good deal on them at CrystalClearVaping on the 15 packs. If you want to extend the liquid in them, try them with a punch or cut on them with one of the clear tanks (Like Liquinator). i honestly dont mind paying the shipping, if i get some really good reviews on the product first. cause then i know i'm not wasting my money. all the canadian companies i've found all have some sort of material that can burn and thats just not something i'm willing to deal with.

so say 3 or 4 people have a carto type thing for 401 or 510 that they like enough to give a real good review of, i'll buy a set. or if anyone knows where i can find 401 tanks ;)

.....bump :p

so i've been looking around.... i think i'm going to stick with Gotvapes products. doesnt seem to be much of an issue with leaking or lack of QC, which is nice; and they have 4 cartos that have no filler (i DO NOT want to have ANYTHING to do with filler) the 4 that they have are the CE2 fluxomizers, the vision deux, the sapphire hybrid, and the fluxomizer giantomiser.

I think now after watching a whole swackload of vids i understand how to accurately fill a CE2, and i'm sure the visions wouldnt be too different (if anyone has another opinion, please let me know) and how to do a quick clean for the CE2s when non staining flavors are used. but how do you leak free fill the other 2 cartos? wash them to get rid of traces of the previous flavor? i use vodka and boiling water for my attys, but i dont know if this would work for these.

Also has anyone noticed a difference in performance with the LED visions? cause they look neat and if theres no difference i'll try these too
TIA

Sorry, I haven't. The CE2 has had so many issues, I've steered clear for now but many people are using the current revisions (I think it's 5 or 6 now) and doing just fine with them but there is still some fiddly cleaning to do with them (see videos below). I'm sticking with Boge 510 cartos for now with a bottom feeder mod or my attys and VV mods and waiting for the Surge tank and Core VV mod with the tank so I don't have to worry about liquids anymore. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...e-tank-contest-ends-september-7th-2011-a.html (contest is over, but you can see pics there).

The Saphire tanks with a 510 atomizer are still the cheapest and easiest way to get a nice amount of liquid with no filler or fiddling around with syringes or taking cartos apart to clean. Maybe consider giving those a try first? You can also use the 510 atomizers with the tank cartridges with this adapter (401 to 510) Canadian E-cigarette 401, 510, 810, 901/KR8 Battery to 401, 4081/103, 510, 901/KR808D-1 Atomizer Adaptor on your M401.

Hopefully, someone will pop in to give you some opinions on the cartomizer models you're interested in.

Here is an informative video about these and cleaning CE2s:

Sorry I wasn't more help. :2cool:

the video on the ce2 part of gotvapes site says its R12 :p
and the sapphires are now called hybrids. basically a carto, but with an atty at the bottom (i dont know if this is the same unit as you're referring to, i've only been investigating for just over a week)

thank you very much for your help :) i was planning on getting a pack of ce2s, sapphire hybrids and then a vision deux to try at first, and then decide whether i like them at that point.

in fact, since my search began, the visions deuxs have gone from being full price with the original release on a small discount, to having a large discount on the original version, a small discount on the deux, and theres now full priced minis and the LED ones

GV VISION DEUX Clearomizer : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

i'm hoping that at least one of the fillerless cartos will suit my needs, never tried a 510 before, so i dont really care to have any of the 510 attys, which is why i'm jumping right into the cartos

Oh jeeze *head slap* I wasn't very clear and I was talking about 2 different things that they have.

Yes, I do have one of the sapphire bud hybrids (a vaping friend locally gave me one to check out). I really liked it. Forgot to put that in the last post. I'll have to dig that back out and check how it's doing (I got a Liquinator Tank to use with 510 cartomizers about the same time, and haven't gotten back to using it). It's an interesting atomizer that performed well for the 2 days that I used it... I think you'll like it a lot, though I have no idea how to clean them. I'm sure someone has posted something on the forum somewhere. :)

I have so many 510 atomizers here, for me getting the pump carts is a better idea. If you don't have/use atomizers, I can see where you'd have no interest.

R12? Good grief. Maybe R100 will be the winner? LOL Their site is worth watching. Their new atomizers/cartomizer models are really great and they've had some really interesting new things pop up regularly.

Good luck. I hope you update here with your impression on what you end up ordering.

I've been happily using the boge cartos for ages, and am not unsatisfied with them. They do have filler, so i've been looking to experiment with some carto options. I don't know what kind I'm likely to want, either, but am intrigued by the clearomizers and a few other things.

I found these carto combo packs with 2 each of 6 or 7 varieties of cartos. They've got regular capacity and large capacity combos, and come in a snazzy case, so you might want to peek at these as a way to try out a bunch of types without having to buy a 5 pack of each kind.

I've tried many carts in the last year. I started with eGo Tanks (Too much leaking for my tastes), Then some clear tank with wick but no filler ones (I kept tasting burnt rope I hear you can fix this with some tweaking), And then some dual coil smoketech (Which I like pretty well but are a bit hot and slow for me), and I keep going back to Boge Low Resistance 2.0 Cartomizers. I keep going back to them. I keep going back to them :) They are so dependable. No leaking. I can refill one for a couple of weeks if I really want to as long as I keep it wet. I keep juice with me and add 5-10 drops every 30 hits or so.

So my fave setup now:

When I'm on the go: eGo or Echo eGo style 1000mah to 1300mah bats with Boge 2.0 Carts. Usually carry 3 flavors and some juice for top offs.

At home or in the car: My Omega running at 3.7 volt on the Boge 2.0 carts.

I've tried 6v and it wasn't my thing. The boge carts sounded boring to me 6 months ago. Now they are life savers. Must try.
