I just noticed that one of my original volcano tubetank endcaps with the chrome finish is pitting. The chrome is starting to flake off on the part where the inner o-ring meets the cartomizer. This has got me wondering how well does the anodized aluminum endcaps from ibtanked hold up over time. I know aluminum is a soft metal and will easily oxidize. I was just going to order a bunch of new tanks but don't want to get an aluminum one if it doesn't last.

I have had that issue from Phiniac anodized endcaps, but not from IBTanked. I used them a lot for over a year, and still use a couple of them on a regular basis. IBTanked are well worth the money.
Love my IBT tanks! I only have one anodized, but have had it for around 7 months, frequent use, without any issues on the blue color.
I too love my IBTanked. My anodized caps have had no issues, and of course you can always go stainless.
