Just got my first carto tank, and I'm a little confused. The cartomizer came with a rubber piece at the end with a hole in it, like the small carts on my old cig-a-like. But when I insert the cart into the tank, the top of it sits flush with the edge of the tank. So there's no room for the drip tip.

My question is, is that little rubber donut thing supposed to be removed completely? Or possibly pushed down to make room for the drip tip to sit?

I feel like an idiot :(

You can remove and trash the little donut if you are using a drip tip. It's in there for those who don't, for example, on a cigalike.

Ya know, I wondered what the purpose of those were. Not like a burning need to know, but a curiosity. Now I know!! Learn something new every day! ;).

Can anyone recommend a carto that I can achieve similar/if not better vape quantity as I can get with a clearo

It depends on your mod, but I have had years of great success with single-coil SmokTech 3.2 ohm cartos at 5 volts. Nothing but thick flavorful vapor. I use 100% VG juice so I make the prepunched holes a little bigger with a carto-punch.

If you are using a 3.7 volt mod then you need to use a carto with a lower ohm rating (2.5 or 2.0). Hope that helps!

I highly recommend the IBtanked brand cartotanks. I have four of their tanks, finding the quality and performance impeccable. At a price point just about anyone can afford, their tanks are hard to beat! They are available in sizes ranging from 15mm to 25mm in diameter. The Pyrex tube is available in three lenghts as well.
(Halfling/Std/XL) The Pyrex tubes are customizable, with quite a few decorative options. But most importantly, they are tough and they work!

Great, something shiney for me to buy. I am content with my Smok tanks, but customizable you say?

If I had kept all those little rubber donuts and strung them together I probably could have made waterproof necklaces for all the ladies in my extended family!

Yep, there has to be some good use for them. Silicone tires for toy matchbox cars?

The straws for Canned Air fit in them nicely. If I could find a can with a Safe propellent, it'd be nice to use to blow excess fluid out of a carto on occasion.
