So, i've been using my cartomizer for a month now, and i have a few questions. I noticed that flipping the little rubber gromet makes a huge difference in taste. But the cotton like filler is what i'm worried about, sometimes when i vape i get random hits of plastic-like throat burn, i started using the other cartridge and now it's fine. Do cartidges have a limited use time and can i replace that filler material?

Cartomizers eventually go bad, after a month should probly be replaced unless still working good. For the poly fill, you can boil your cartos to remove old flavor and build up inside. I usually boil mine 15min "no rubbers or caps", let cool, blow as much water out as I can "from threaded end" then let dry overnight upside down on a paper towel. Hope this helps

I'd say your carto might not be saturated enough or it's time to top it off. Regarding the rubber tip, have you thought about getting a cheap 510 drip tip?

The next progression would be to get or punch your carto and put it in a carto tank. That way it will stay fully saturated.

i think that i didn't fill the cartridge enough, i filled it (and overfilled a bit, the fluid got on my hands) and now its fine

You might try the Condom Method for the initial fill.

I do it the sloppy way by overfilling it then plunging the carto several times into the condom so there's no doubt the polyfil is saturated. After that, I give a quick blow down to center tube to get rid of the excess juice that might cause gurgling.

Also, if available to you, I use a 20ga syringe to fill my cartos. Just poke down along side of the filler and inject until fluid comes to the top. No Eliquid to clean up
