I was telling a friend that I wasn't really digging my new cart. She said I should have gotten a 'clearomizer'....it doesn't have filling, so you get pure vapor juice. Did I buy the wrong thing AGAIN???

Going to the poor house vaping all the way

When you start vaping, your going to buy some stuff that either doesn't work or you don't like. It's just part of figuring out what works for You.

Even will all the stuff I have bought that didn't work, I NEVER have spent more in a month that what I spent on analogs.

A Clearomizer is a fillerless Cartomizer that has a clear tube. They are nice because you can see the e-Liquid inside and so you know when to refill them. But some e-liquids will crack the plastic and some Clear tubes have been known to leak around the battery connector. They also make the same type of Cartomizer with a Metal tube and they do not leaking problems like some of the clear tube versions.

My suggestion if you are getting tired of carts and attys is to try one or both of the following.

Boge Blank Soft Tip Cartomizer
(Filler Type Cartomizer)

or

CE2 R4 METAL XL Cartomizer
(Fillerless Cartomizer)

I can't say what type of ohms you might like because I don't know what type of PV you have or what type of hit you like.

I have tried the clearomizers boge cartomizers. I used the cartos, then the clearomizers and went back to the boge cartomizes because I am apparently to hard on the clearomizers, I had leaking issues and had one just come apart just after filling, 1.5 mls of juice all over me and my clothes, what a mess. I haven't tried the metal ones and don't plan on it. I have been very happy with the 2 ohm boge cartos, they work well on all of my pvs. I have used them on egos @ 3.2v,3.7v units and even a 5v box mod. They work so well for me that I don't see a reason to try anything else at this time. JMHO

OK.....So I bought 510 Dual Coil Clear Cartomizers.....(I have 510 Riva and Ego Batts).....First, the Clear cartomizers are VERY fragile. I cracked two my very first day. And the leakage is also a problem. To fill these, I find, it is better to remove them from the battery and hold them connector down INTO a paper towel....because they ARE going to leak out the bottom. Then let them set on the p.towel at least 30-45 mins. (Not something to do as you as heading out the door) Be VERY careful if you use a Drip Tip with these (I don't) as they will pop you with a splash of boiling juice on the second or third s l o w draw ! Ouch!!!!
I am relatively new at vaping.....still trying to find my way....but admit, I stay much more frustrated than happy....Everytime someone gives me what I think will be a good solution, I order. Initially, I think....good this is MY set up....then....crack, leakage, burned tongue, no vapor.....The last "set-up" that I thought was going to work was the Fusion 801 cArtomizers.....One lasted 2hours, and the other one, I was constantly wetting the cart, refilling, flooding, wetting, flooding, blowing it out,....whew!
I started vaping around the first of May, and at first it was an adventure in finding my "Set-Up"....Now, it is almost becoming something I dread. I really do want to stop smoking. Any ideas out there?

I prefer my cartos with filler. I can fill them with just a dripper, and not need a tool to pull out the oring, then a sytenge to fill the carto. I use mainly SmokeTek now, because my favorite vendor caries that line.

They can be very easily modded to take a drip tip on the top, so that all you need to do is pull the tip and fill straight from the bottle...much like you already do with your normal cartos.

I found clearomizers to be pretty decent. Not perfect by any means, but then no e-cig device is apparently. Fairly quick and painless to refill with a syringe. They are fragile, can crack and leak if you are not careful but for the price, the value is solid. They seem to last a very long time in comparison to other devices. You get the filler-free experience like in tank systems, and the ability to see the level of juice, and they last much longer than the E-go style tanks at a fraction of the price. I'd rather have a $3 clearomizer crack after two days than a $16 tank atomizer die after two days. I've enjoyed the long life of XL filler-free cartomizers before with a more solid casing, but being able to see how much juice is in there is extremely helpful.

I have DC clear cartos as well, and with the first couple ones I'd get a not-so-nice hot juice pop in the mouth. I found that I only get that if I overfill it, which is very easy to do because the air pockets make the carto look less filled than it is. What I do is flood the top quarter of the filler, then let it sit upright for a minute to let gravity pull the juice down. I'll add a little more if it needs it, but I don't try to fill it to where the entire filler looked saturated. The carto usually leaks though the bottom before then, anyways.
