I started with the auto KR808D1 kit from LeCig. Loved it, but decided to pick up some batteries from V4L. Bought 2 of the clearance manuals, and 2 of the new diamond/stealth series, all in "regular size". They finally arrived yesterday, and I started testing everything out. The V4L's are just a tiny bit bit longer than the LeCig.

First, my prefilled LeCig cartos do not work with the V4L batteries. It's weird, with the manuals, I suck on it & I can hear it warming up & all, but no vapor, or flavor. The autos seem to almost work, again I hear the noise but nothing comes out, no vapor but I can taste a little flavor.

Then, my V4L cartos that I refilled with mainly VG juice don't work that well on my LeCig batteries. The flavor is not the same, and I really have to keep drawing on it to even get a touch of flavor.

Any ideas on this? I really want to get a Bloog next, but I'm a little concerned because I was under the impression that all 808 accessories were compatible with each other.

Might take a look at the thread depth. I ran into a similar problem using m401 carts on a cigarti brand ecig the battery post wasn't long enough for the positive post to make contact with the cartomizer so the battery would activate when I would draw on it but no vapor was produced. I ended up milling the threads on the carts shorter to let the battery seat all the way then they worked great. The only conclusion I could figure is cigarti shortened theirs to prevent using other cheaper suppliers maybe that's the case with yours. Or maybe like the previous post stated it's just poor quality control in the chinesee factories!:p

I would assume that they are all compatible so long as they're kr808-D1 threaded. I have the PigCig, which is supposed to be the same D1 thread as their standard kr808D-1 batt. I've used both LeCig and V4L Wow cartos on it with no problems whatsoever. I actually prefer the V4L Wow cartos over the LeCig cartos because they run at a slightly lower resistance.

Definitely have the 808D1. My V4L prefilled cartos have always worked on my LeCig. Just tried the LeCig cartos on the V4L when they arrived yesterday.

OK, I think I see the problem. The part of the carto that connects to the batt is different. My LeCig is a solid circle, while the V4L has like an indented line through the center. I guess thats the problem, funny, I've never really looked that closely at them before.

Or as its been said, poor quality control, because I was under the impression that they were compatible with each other.

i dont think that all 808d-1 cartomizers have the same thread size either. I am going through the same issue. I have 4 different 808 cartomizers and they all fit on my passthrough but on my 808 vgo "fat style" battery they do not all make contact. I contacted the supplier where i bought the vgo and they suggested to use a 901 to 808 adapter, and actually they offered to send me one free of charge with my next order. Try screwing the cartomizer as tight as you can and see if that helps. That seems to help me with one of my cartomizers.

Thanks for the advice - screwed it on as tightly as possible, then tried a few variations of looser, and still nothing. Its not the end of the world, I didn't really like my prefilled LeCig cartos anyway. Thought I'd try them out with my new batteries to see if they tasted any better now that my taste buds are changing. Just hope that when I do upgrade to the Bloog my V4L stuff will be compatible.

Don't quote me on this, because it's something that I think I half-remember from quickly scanning some info a couple of months ago --

Some e-cigs have that 'indented line' on the battery, others have it on the carto. Having it on one or the other or both (by mixing and matching products from different companies) works. If it's on neither, it's flat against flat with no way for the air to get through, so it'll still heat up, but you can't draw out any vapor.

This is an issue with the v4l batteries, not your cartomizers. I have had several nice shiny v4l batteries do this to me, and you hear great things about v4l's customer service, but good luck getting a response. The v4l wow carts work, but the coolcarts don't, nor do premium soft cap carts, but old-style hard cap carts work fine.

the KR808 batteries have that slot for air to get in. The 901 is the same thread without the slot. The 901 attys have a hole in the atty to let air instead.

I just ran into a similar problem. I've been using a box mod for a couple years and every carto I've ever bought has worked fine. I got some greencig cartos from Lecig a couple months ago and they worked fine. However, I just got some new ones of a different flavor and they do not do anything with my mod. I found an old regular battery and tried that and that one works, as long as I don't screw it in too tight. After close inspection i see that the hole in the bottom of the new ones is slightly larger than the hole in the bottom of the good batch. That is the only difference I can find. All Lecig would say is that they don't guarantee the cartos to work unless used with their batteries. That's a bunch of malarkey. There is definitely an engineering issue with this last batch, but I'm stuck with them.
