For the last week or two, I've been giving cartomizers a tryout, and there's much I like about them. My original plan was to do as many here do and combine mine with a drip tip for the occasional top-off. That's alright, but battery + carto + drip tip = an overall longer eGo than I like. Today I decided to leave the drip tip home and just use the carto in the way it was intended: drawing through the end cap. Besides solving the length problem, I found myself really liking how it vaped. The eGo cone becomes a nice warm (but not over-warm) surface for the lips and I swear there's a bit more "presence" to the flavor without the drip tip.

Great-- but now what I want is a way to refill with convenience comparable to a drip tip, and removing the end cap without reaching for a tool would be a plus. So, what I think I want is an end cap that is just a bit thicker and protrudes from the end of the carto just a tiny bit so it can be grabbed and yanked off. Probably the equivalent to two end caps glued together would do it, only I'm not sure I want to put anything I've glued in my mouth.

Has anybody worked out something comparable to what I'm after?

I may have answered my own question. Simply removing the cap and tailpiping the carto seems to do the trick rather nicely without the high heat factor of tailpiping an atomizer. Potentially a little messy, though.

I discovered this by accident as I forgot to replace the end cap after refilling one time. Not a bad way of accomplishing your goal, really. Seemed to work fine for me too.

I did this a few times but gave up on it because cartos tend to spit hot juice on your lips or tongue.

I use cartos and leave the white cap on but I just don't push it in all the way so it is easier to get out using just my finger nail.

I also use stubby drip tips which do not increase the length as much as other drip tips.
