Cartomizer information

I am brand new to vaping and received my Blu starter kit yesterday. I like it quite well and am pleased with most everything about it. However, I am disappointed with the flavor selection and would like to try other flavors. What cartomizers are compatible with the Blu? I've read that sometimes using another cartomizer other than the recommended brand can screw up the battery.

Hi and welcome to ECF. The Blu is compatible with the 510 atomizers and cartomizers. They have the same threading on the battery. They differ in that the polarity is reversed in the battery. If you tried to use a 510 charger on your Blu batteries it would be charging the + on the - side, and the - on the + side. That would destroy your battery. This is not a concern when using 510 cartomizers on your Blu because atomizers and cartomizers are just a heating element and don't care how the current is flowing.

There really aren't 510 flavors. 510 refers to the threading on the battery, and atomizer or cartomizer. You can get blanks, which are empties, and fill your own. It's much less expensive and really easy to do. It also opens up a whole new world of flavors. Try here for cartomizers, atomizers, and juice to refill with:

LOL - I did discover that while browsing for flavors. Since it's only my second day, I am intimidated at filling my own. However, I do intend to do that someday. Meanwhile, are there any flavored cartomizers which will fit the Blu?

There is very little selection of prefilled cartos for 510. For 510 blank soft-cap cartos are usually used and filled with whatever liquid you want. People who want prefilled cartos usually get KR808D-1 aka Vapor4Life

BTW - you can refill your Blu cartos as long as you don't vape them dry and singe the stuffing. So if you bought a simple flavor like vanilla or bought a tobacco flavor you like, you could keep it damp with any compatible flavor ejuice. Like you could add fruit flavor to either - for a while the tobacco would be a fruit flavored tobacco and eventually may be mostly fruit flavor. And just about anything will blend nicely with vanilla. You should be able to get days or even a week's use out of a carto. Check that Blu section - I'm sure they discuss refilling.

As a newbie myself, I suggest you broaden your horrizens and give refilling a try!! Ive tried a bunch of diff flavors in the short 2 months I have been vaping and I still dont have a favorite! Enjoy
