So last week I posted a thread about Cisco 306s and that was quickly resolved after talking with a member at another forum. I also order the "X2" XXL dual coil cartomizers that AV sells for about 15 dollars per 5 pack. I've noticed that on the first two I've opened, they don't do anything when I hit the button. I've tried them on an Ego-T 1000mah battery and a SB running at 3.7v. When I looked at them from the battery side of the carto, I noticed that the center pin was slightly recessed, where as my other cartos and attys are all protuding about the same amount. I tested them with a multimeter and they check out okay. So I'm wondering, what is the best way to get the center pin to stick out some without damaging the carto?

just get a small flat screwdriver and gently pull the center post down and they will work
Best way is to use a small flat head. If you look at the end of the connection, there looks to be a perfect place for your flat head screw driver. Just turn it counter clockwise a little and you will see that the center pin has come out a bit. This trick is normally used to allow for more air flow so the draw won't be as tight. But, it would also work in your case as well.

I had that problem. Took a small nail, slipped it in the bottom hole, and just put a little pressure on it at a 45 degree angle, just a little, and it made connection fine. Only had like 3 so far since February this year did this.
