So I'm using the Vamo V2 VV/VW mod and it has a function that checks the Ohm reading of whatever you have on it. I am using 3.0 ohm (Boge I think is what it's called) cartomizers with my device and when I first put a new carto on my device the reading displays at 2.8 and after about 4 or 5 days it reads out at 3.3 ohms. I don't know why it does this but I had one carto that read out at 9.9 ohms and tasted absolutely burnt. Does the higher ohm reading mean that the carto is getting closer to needing replacement?

My vamo does that too. I wiggle the atomizer about until I get a decent reading 2.6/7/8/9

Mine also registers from 0.0 to 99.9 it's whacko. I usually have 8 watts power and 39/40/41 volts, but I was sold some coils which burnt the hell, they didn't look exactly like the Kanger Protank replacement, but registered 2.6 ohms, they could not be effective at 40/41 recommended for 2.6.

I would think it would burn more if the ohm reading is less, less resistance at high volts..I may be wrong, I am new at this.
A 1.8 ohm resister should be run on lower watts (mid 30s) than a 2.5 ohm (39 -42ish)

There is an ohm/voltage diagram online

I am probably using a different head than you, I have bottom coil kanger tank which I can recoil and replace wicks

If it reads 9.9 ohm it's done... it will give the same reading without anything screwed on it as well. I do notice the same thing with boge carto's punched (well slotted with my dremel) in a tank. Probably getting clogged and near the end of life. I find coils in a clearomizer will do this as well once it needs to be cleaned and dry burned.

Don't think the model of the tank really matters, just the carto that is being used inside of it. Anyways, the main question is if the ohm reading is increasing over time, does it mean that that the carto is degrading? I didn't know that it could be cleaned, gonna give that a try. The 'tank' I'm using is called The Imperial and it's custom made at The Vape Store (my regular place). Also, I'm using the Boge 3.0 ohm cartos on a steady 8.0 watts, they usually last a good week.
