Cartomizer or Atomizer more cost efficient?

I love atomizers for the better flavor, but have not found any to last me long. I mean, they continue to work for a month or two, but after two days of use I get far reduced vapor, wicking issues, flavor issues, etc. Cleaning helps a little, but they just don't seem worth the cost to me.
